Recently, management have created two new tags for suggestions, Escalated, and Implemented. These are a great start, however it still leaves a big gap between what management know is getting done and what players think is getting done. My suggestion is for management to create a new folder within the suggestion forums, "Archived Suggestions". This is where all the older suggestions would go, any locked suggestions, or suggestions for things that will not be added.

The seconds part of this, would be a post called "Work In Progress Features". This would just be a list pinned at the top of suggestions that would list all the suggestions that are currently being worked on. Now, I know some of you are going to say that by telling people what suggestions are getting worked on they could get our hopes up then we will be disappointed if it doesn't get added. The easiest way around that would be a simple reply to the thread from a management member saying "Hey, we tried, the developers were unable to make this happen, sorry" and then remove it from the list of suggestions. I should add that just because something is on the list does not mean it is guarantied to be added, it just means developers are working on it and seeing if it will work.

Developers start working on things to be added months before they are actually added (I'm guessing) and during that mines a few management members must know that it's being worked on. While they know this, the entire playerbase is left in the dark about it, leading to a number of threads being made on it with players arguing back and forth on a topic while you know it's being added (Emerald generators, enderpearls in normal eggwars).

Custom shields were promised a long time ago, however the most recent thing I heard about this was "it's being worked on" and that was a few months ago. If you had this list, everyone would be able to see that is it still getting worked on and stop useless threads being made on something that's already getting added.

Yes please to all things on this thread. Archives would be great, work in progress would power down a certain request so players don’t constantly bring it up saying “the staff don’t care” which tbh isn’t the best thing for players to say. Custom shields, I agree should just be added. I don’t care if it is one shield, they should just make a official post saying that they are working on it maybe?

This is a duplicate suggestion, the current tagging system was implemented as a result of the concerns raised in the original suggestion. Additional subforms will only make things more cluttered. I get that you guys want to know what is being worked on and what isn't, for various reasons that just isn't always possible to do (no, I won't be listing the reasons, they should be fairly obvious if you give the issue some thought).

This is a duplicate suggestion,
So are half the suggestions on the forums...

the current tagging system was implemented as a result of the concerns raised in the original suggestion.
And that's a great start.

Additional subforms will only make things more cluttered
How is that? All the old and denied suggestions are out of the way of active ones.

I get that you guys want to know what is being worked on and what isn't, for various reasons that just isn't always possible to do (no, I won't be listing the reasons, they should be fairly obvious if you give the issue some thought).
Well it seems no one has given it some thought because no one seems to have an issue.

Biggest problem I can see with the WIP tag is it being misleading.
Of course, devs could be working on a feature they're trying to implement, but that never means it's going to be implemented. I can guarantee you that people will instantly believe a feature is being implemented if a thread got the WIP tag.
Some good suggested features may actually have already been tried out, but there may have not been a feasible way to go about coding said feature.
A second reason is that it could ruin possible surprises. I don't know about you, but I sure love an update where I wouldn't be able to expect what was changed.

I thought of that,

I will add that they should making it clear that these are not 100% getting added, they are just working on it.

They can have surprises, just don't make it things people are constantly asking about. Like the lobby games, those were a nice surprise, I don't recall anyone asking for them.
