Hello everybody!
So first of, the new minigame 'Blockwars' is extremely fun! Me and my viewers love to play the minigame! Great job Cube and Chunk!
I did however notice something that I don't like. Autobalance. I spoke to a few staff members and my viewers about this, and they all seem to agree.
So for the people that don't know what 'autobalance' is all about, it's pretty much balancing out the number of players in each team when people leave. Sounds good so far right? Here is the problem.
I always play with viewers or with friends in my spare time off stream, and I always try my best to go for the win. I played a game this afternoon, 8v8, and it was a good game! We were up 3-0 and I even captured two flags from those three. Because there wasn't that much time left, some people on the enemy team decided to rage quit. It became 8v5, so autobalance showed up and put me, after the hard work with my team, in the enemy team with only a few seconds left, giving me the loss. In my opinion, that's not fair. Nobody deserves a loss just because some people rage quit.
My idea? Only have autobalance enabled when it's a tie OR with more than a few minutes left, because it might not be a rage quit.
Also, I noticed that the 'flag captured' or 'flag taken' popup doesn't show up when in respawning phase. I was in respawning phase when the enemy stole our flag, but I didn't knew since there was no popup, so I couldn't know and I 'ignored' it. So maybe have the popups show up in respawning phase too? (I know that you can see a transparent flag on the scorebord to the right of the screen if it's taken, but I don't look there every second :p )
Let me know what you guys think, and if there are more tips, leave them here too! :)
