Evan was a 15 year old, from Witchita Falls in the state of Texas, in the United States. One morning, at about 11:00 PM, Evan went to his grandmother's house, located in Atchison, Kansas. It was a few hour drive so he brought his phone to diddle around on. About three hours into the trip, Evan's phone died, while he was checking CubeCraftGames Halloween Update on the forums, leaving him with his mother in a dark car gong through the Ozark Mountains, or the Ozarks.
The Ozarks to some people is a very scary place, even at night. But what is worse, is when a car runs out of gas in the Ozarks, leaving a person stranded on any roads for hours on end, in an area where there are no roads. This is what happened with Evan. With a phone dead, he couldn't call
9-1-1 for assistance. Evan's mom was asleep after the car died down. Evan's mother was hoping for rescue, but with no luck, Evan's mother fell asleep.
Evan looked around, got out of his car, and left a note for his mom saying he's gone looking for help. The road was a windy road through the Ozarks, and there were no houses for miles. So, Evan started looking, even though he knew he hadn't seen a house for miles, for a house. Taking a road was the best bet for Evan, as the moonlight crested over the trees.
It was approaching 3:00 AM when Evan saw his first sign of light. He believed it was a house, because of the number of lights. Evan was right, so he wandered up to the gates of the house. It was a fancy house, about 30 feet up above Evan, the only problem was, the gates were closed. Evan was desperate to get inside so he tried every combination for the code of the gate he could try. Suddenly, the gates opened. Evan didn't know if he got the code correct or if it just fell open. Nonetheless, Evan entered and went to the front door.
Evan knew this was this was trespassing, but he needed help so he went and knocked on the door. No response. Evan looked into a window. Evan saw a person, but they wouldn't answer? Evan knocked again, still no response. Evan looked into the window again. The person is gone? Evan turned around to go to the back of the house, wondering if there could possibly a back entrance. When Evan turned around, he was startled almost to death by, none other than, the person who was in the house.
While Evan was starting to faint, he wondered, how did the person who was inside the house end up coming up from behind him in that much of a time without making noise. The last thing Evan saw before fainting was the man disappearing with a knife covered in blood.
Next thing Evan knew, he was pinned to a wall, by 4 invisible forces. Evan struggled to move and shout, but his mouth was stitched shut. As Evan was held back by this invisible force, he wondered about his mother. Was his mother okay, maybe his mother was worried to death! As Evan opened his eyes, he saw his mother, with a knife, whispering over and over... "You left me, and now you will leave me for the final time.". She came closer, as her face got more and more distorted and demented, Evan started to close his eyes, knowing this was the end. Then, there was a sudden scream.
Evan woke in his car, with his mom next to him, and the car was halted in the road next to a sign that said "Welcome to Atchison, Kansas". Evan blew a breath, glad that his trip to that spooky house was just a dream. Evan's mom was dumbfounded, hopped out of a car, and looked towards the back of the car, where she hit a deer. But Evan wasn't concerned about the deer, he was concerned about what was under the "Welcome to Atchison" sign. Another sign was posted saying "Horror Capital of the US!". Next to the other sign, he saw a man, holding a sign saying "I sell ciour.", and holding a knife...
