So I want to change my name in Minecraft because Ive had this name for a while. But Im nervous that if I do I would lose my gold rank that I spent $40 on. So this is a question for a helper.

Hello!

If you ever change your minecraft username with mojan then your rank will automatically be transfered over.

Like @Camezonda said your rank is attached to your UUID. Mojang sorts players by UUID and not your username. Think of the UUID as an ID and your username as an option. It doesn't matter if you change your username, your just updating and option. Also Cubecraft ranks don't use your username to manage ranks, it uses UUID as that never changes. Other wise when someone would change their name it would be gone. So the answer to your question is; change it, your all good, you'll keep your rank. Evidence is above.

UUID is a string of letters and numbers, used to identify rows in a database, It's unique and never will be the same as another (2,821,109,907,456 different combinations).
I edited the post not long ago :P But it is nice to know that there are "little" combinations

Lets make this simple. Nothing will happen to your rank! UUID is basically a line of numbers and letters that your mojang account has.

UUID stands for Universally Unique IDentifier.

UUID's are not just for JAVA. Also you might as well just say JAVA as OOP is just a category within a language. OOP is Object Orientated Programming.
