I'm looking to see what websites you have tried to share but where blocked by the filter.

Please mention here all the websites you would want to see whitelisted on the server.
I'll post them here in a list that management can then use for future reference.
*I will then suggest this list to the management team (seems like I needed to add the word suggest.)

Websites (With the reason why):
I will categorise them YES/NO according to whether or not I think they should be added.

YES :
IMGUR.com => (fmsg/pchat only) sharing images
gyazo.com => (fmsg/pchat only) sharing screenshots
Spotify => (fmsg/pchat only) Music, why not.
Discord links => (fmsg/pchat only) chat channels, used for communication
Twitch.com/Youtube.com => (fmsg/pchat only) I don't want players spamming their youtube links in chat.
Cubecraft forum threads => CubeCraft related
Https://cbecrft.net => CubeCraft related
Wikipedia => generally found in discussions
Minecraft wiki =>generally found in discussions
namemc => To check other peoples skins
needcoolshoes.com => cape designer

This is a suggestion. As far as I know management haven't stated that they will do this, all the websites being submitted here are suggestions.

I think that for now these links are fine. They should also be able to send (I'm not sure if you can) all the links related to CubeCraft, example:
You're talking to a friend and he tells you he wants permission to vote. You just have to tell him: You can buy rank to vote at store.cubecraft.net

I'll spell it out to you what a suggestion looks like:

1- You have a feature that isn't implemented yet that you want to see on the server.
I am submitting here a list of websites I want to see whitelisted on the server.

2 - You ask for opinions on this feature.
I am asking other members of the community for their opinions/thoughts on the matter.

What am I missing that doesn't make this a suggestion?

First off, you are a moderator - there's no need for you to create suggestions on the forums

You are asking what links should get unblocked or not, your thread is just the place to collect suggestions regarding this matter. That's like creating a thread asking for Eggwars suggestions.

I think that these should definitely be whitelisted. Links like youtube, Imgur and Cubecraft it self needs to be whitelisted. For the NO's:

• Non-https secure websites
• Redirect links
• Bit.ly links
• Adf.ly

Are some things I feel need to be blacklisted.

Most of the cubecraft related links like Discord are already given to the players so I do not think that they should be whitelisted. However if players need to give invites for other discord servers or theor own then I don't think that discord.gg should be blacklisted.

Perhaps websites which aren’t related to Cubecraft in the slightest but encourage conversation about certain issues. For example:

“Hey, anyone recommend me a good show to watch on Netflix?”
“Yah, here: {insert link of Bojack Horseman on Netflix}

Or

“UGGHHH I HATE HOMEWORK. I’m soooo confused on what is the Weimar constitution”
“You may find this to be helpful: {insert useful Bitesize link of Weimar constitution}”

IDK just an idea...
It’ll encourage players to strike conversations between each other which may not only be based on CCG. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Teamspeak => Vocal Communication.

I wouldn’t really allow teamspeak links to be said in chat. Reasons:

1) Cubecraft doesn’t have a teamspeak server anymore.
2) Unlike Discord which can be used for general communication purposes, teamspeak requires a paid server to actually communicate on. Most paid servers are generally going to be on behalf of other services (I doubt a random teamspeaker would pay for a teamspeak server for general communication amongst friends - They’d just use a free server on Discord probs). Therefore, it is most likely that players who mention teamspeak are advertising another service on teamspeak (which is against the CCG rules and regulations).

1- There is no need, but I like to have the community's input on the matter.
2- Are you saying this is a suggestion compilation now? I'm not going to make a bunch of threads "Should we whitelist youtube?", "Should we whitelist twitch?", "Should we whitelist teamspeak?"
It's easier to have a list of websites that we want whitelisted and suggest that list.

Easier for sure, but this section is meant for suggestions afaik. Kinda weird that staff has been using it for feedback and what not lately. A member wouldn't be allowed to do that either.
