Pretty shocking introduction I know, but anyways, I have for a while had an idea for a game named 'Clash of Clans' which I play daily. It may seem a bit of a tricky gamemode to talk when it comes to being actively involved, although I have come up with some extra additions to the game which will mean users will be involved.
How to play:
Most users know how to play clash of clans, although do not worry if you don't know how to play it. Each user starts with a village which they begin leveling up a town hall. Eventually you upgrade/build your walls, defenses, gold farms etc... until you max out. While doing so you can attack other villages from the troops you train.
Since we have tower defense, it doesn't take much coding/designing to include the defenses etc...
Attacking will work by giving you the opportunity to spawn in mobs around the bases. The mobs will attack the nearest building etc... Zombies are barbarians, Skeletons are archers etc...
When you decide to attack a random base, you will be able to fly around the base and take a look at it. You have 1 minute to leave or send your troops in or else it will immediately initiate war therefore forcing you to fight or you will lose trophies.
Overcoming the waiting game factor
Knowing clash of clans, quite a lot of the time you are waiting a couple of hours/days for a building to be constructed. Introducing mining and quests to build bases could be something to increase the time you earn gold. Constructions can be 1 hour maximum to complete although you require a lot of resources in-order to upgrade your base.
These quests can involve going around to other bases and fixing things, or bringing villagers in your village items.
