"No, you cannot enable PvP on creative." -Soph
I think you should be able to enable PvP on your creative plots :( It'll be so much fun

Pro's:
-You can test out maps before submitting them
-You can create your own kitpvp kits / scenarios + test out new kits before suggesting them
-My god would it be fun :o You could create little arenas and fight your friends on them, having 1v1's, 2v2's or FFA's - I could see it being one of the most loved updates of all time
-You could test your parkour more accurately
-You could create adventure maps and play them with people using the adventure gamemode
Cons:
-Spam (Probably the only reason this isn't a thing already, although it is reportable if spammed)
-/Gamemode would have to be accessible to everybody
What are your opinions on this?

Switching game modes: Yes

PvP: No.

Activating PvP on Creative seems a little bit off to me, even though it is a nice idea, it just doesn't fit into Creative, at least imo.

About the switching game modes, I like that, because testing out maps would be a fun and cool idea, as long as the server won't lag too much because of the command :)

Just over there
I don't see how this is a '[Very Good Idea]' anything you can do in survival you can do in creative, with exception of fall damage which the only thing I can think of it being important for is dropper maps. (which you pretty much die anyway) Do we really need more pvp?.. The entire server is fighting, creative is a peaceful server without the spam of '1v1 nub you eZ'. Just seems like a pointless suggestion to me xP

Well since the server doesn't actually have a '1v1 feature', i don't think this is half bad an idea. Not to mention you could create your own maps to fight people in. Only major issue i can see is that you'll have a lot of spam to deal with, so maybe changing gamemodes could be available to donators only or something since if somebody has paid to support a server then they're less likely to break the rules on it.

I'm afraid theres going to be players using this to spam another person's inventory. I agree with this being fun, but the chances this will work out well isn't too high in my opinion. The potions are disabled right now because players kept spamming them at other plots and reenabling them for pvp isn't too much of a good idea. Another thing is that if pvp was enabled, players can be constantly killed at spawn or can get killed by a creative player. Theres so many plug ins that need fixing and i don't think rubik will be happy to know he needs to do more. (ignore my grammatical mistakes its about 4:30am here)

I suggested the same thing months ago (sorta). I said it'd be nice to be able to switch in and out of survival for testing maps because you can't accurately judge how much fall damage you take, and often times when you're doing parkour, you'll accidentally fly instead of jumping twice very quickly. It seems like a good idea to me, but it also seems like something we don't require right away.

Yeah, i agree. Unfortunately there would be too many players who would just use it to irritate others :c

For all the people saying that people will spam "1v1 nub", before in SkyBlock, which was a very large and important server, there wasn't too much spam about the "1v1 me". Then there is also factions, I have played there long enough to know that the spam with a "1v1 me" doesn't come too often. Plus the good side with this are unlike the servers and games (parkour, parkour minigame, TNTRun, hide and seek, vortex jump, these are the list of the games where fighting isn't an objective) you will be able to be free in what way and what you want to have to fight, unlike kit PVP where you are restricted to use classes.

You would have a lot more freedom if you could change gamemode, so i really think that should be considered, even if PvP is a definite no :) Changing gamemodes would allow you to create maps such as droppers or parkour for your friends and give you freedom to test maps for gamemodes more accurately. This does however mean that the death messages would have to be disabled as players would be dying to their own pitfalls etc. every 8 seconds.

I´ve played on a server once on which you were able to change your gamemode. You were also automatically able to pvp.
It was a really fun experience in my opinion but it had only about 50 players online of which 20 were on the Creative server maybe. If someone advertised a battle it didn´t matter much. They also didn´t have KitPvP. CCG is much bigger, we do have KitPvP and Creative has about 140 players online. Advertising battles would matter then. As you´ve already said: It would result in spam. And we all know what happened to skin competitions and head shops.
In my opinion not to have gamemode on Creative is fine. It is Creative and I´d prefer flying anyway. It is a bit annoying with parkouring sometimes but that´s it. Without the pvp aspect you wouldn´t really be able to test sw/sg maps anyway. ;P
