CubeCraft is dead (as a YouTube niche)

Text too long did not read? I found that YouTube videos about CubeCraft makes way lesser views than about normal Minecraft videos. And I've stopped making more CubeCraft videos.

Hey bros, I've been posting YouTube videos since 3 months ago and right now, and today I surpassed 175 subscribers and 100k views!

If you've been supporting me since then, thank you! Maybe I will give 100 dollars to my first 100 subs when I'm super popular lol

But let me tell you a dark secret that these 3/4 of my subscribers came from my non-CubeCraft (short form) videos...

Since I've been making high quality CubeCraft videos that took me bone aching weeks for a long form video, I've been getting small amount of views and the views and impression ratio is absolutely awful.

My 4th Lucky Island Funny Moments analytics which has the highest impression counts of my channel.


YouTube shorts isn't helping either with CubeCraft content. Viewer engagement is low enough that YouTube will stop giving me more views.

My short video of a snippet of that funny moment engagement analytics.

So I've been doing some testing with my channel and the YouTube algorithm through making different videos that isn't just CubeCraft to find a way to efficiently get more views and subscribers without unnecessarily burned out.

And today I did that, which my surprise it did get more viewers!

At this point, I feel that Minecraft PvP and CubeCraft content is not on its prime days. The niche is pretty dead and no longer competitive and popular right now.

Today, people want funny and interesting Minecraft content, such as this video when I launch myself to escape the universe lmao

When people see Minecraft PvP content like mine, they will be like: "haha funny aim and left click spam at people to kill we get it lil bro its the big 2025 we aint watching allat " (actually pmo rn srsly)

As of now, I will stop making CubeCraft content and focus on easier videos.

My advice is don’t spam on the community tab because that gets quite annoying if I’m going to be honest

You're completely right that the Minecraft minigames and PvP era is pretty much over in terms of social media content. This also reflects on the lower number of players on most minigame and Pvp-centred servers.

You will have to experiment with something new. Try to make something that people haven't seen before to spark their interest. It's easier said than done, because the amount of content that there is on both Cubecraft and Minecraft as a whole has been quite saturated.

Just as you noticed yourself, I've seen that short form content, mainly fast-paced videos, is what is working the best in the Minecraft space right now.

If you want to try out a new platform, TikTok is working quite alright with fast-paced Pillars of Fortune videos. Look at itsmfbrian for example, who got over 6.6 million views on a video uploaded earlier this year with plenty other videos with 100k+ views. I think the same type of content could work well on YouTube too.

As far as I know, YouTube likes active and human-like channels, so I tried posting random stuff just to poke the algorithm

Yes that is what I am currently doing right now... Just like raxdflipnote (the dude who makes LETS GO GAMBLING) where he makes some random animations right away in short form like I did to minecraft.

Tiktok is not reliable for me, since I am aiming to get monetized quickly by building up some subscribers and view counts to get recognized by the algorithm. I've said before that PvP stuff is not popular right now, unless its unique.

Anyways, if all of you wanted to make PvP content, then it's fine for me. I am not discouraging you all to stop making this kinds of content.

I'm not completely quitting CubeCraft, I just want to see CubeCraft make unique stuff like that Spring RPG!

All I wanted to do is things that are efficient and convenient for me to make and do something cool.
