Skyblock should have had a lot more soul in the game. That’s what cubecraft lacks more than funds or staff- soul. Hypixel skyblock is really good because of the passion that went into it. Cubecraft lost the spark it had.
Skyblock does feel a litte raw at times yes, and I find the game somewhat boring, but it isn't from a lack of soul. Our version of skyblock has a completely new spin on it that gives it originality and differentiation from other servers, while still being clearly "cubecraft". I feel like CubeCraft is unique, it is different, no other server feels like this one, in my opinion this server has more soul than any other out there. Skyblock has it's flaws but it's not because of a lack of passion in making the game, i think their vision was perfectly implemented, just a bit flawed, but that's what updates are for. There hasn't been a major update yet, but the game does have the potential to become amazing, especially we the awesome devs we have, and suggestions from the community.
As for the decline of the forums - again the mods ought to share blame. Kingdom wars was escalated when it reached 60 replies or something. Normal suggestions don’t get that kind of exposure and are ignored. Rubbish posts get a lot of attention.
Eli already responded to most of this, but i want to add something. One of the reasons we usually escalate more basic suggestions simply because they are easier to implement. Really in depth suggestions like Kingdom Wars have a lower chance of becoming a reality then a way more simple one, just because there is way less work to do. Making a game from scratch is a huge risk. Cubecraft has to be careful spending dev time making a game that has a large chance of failing, because that costs money, and a bad game can damage the server's reputation, so it needs a lot of effort put into it, which may not be possible sometimes. Furthermore, escalating really in depth sugestions like Kingdom Wars and not have it implemented is probably a bigger blow to the people who made the suggestion than a small one not being implemented, so we are weary of escalating bigger projects
Paragraphs posted by staff members repeating the same thing on kick all the laggers was annoying to see at the least.
The did not repeat the same thing, the usually used different arguments or improved on other people's arguments. The suggestion had so many apparent flaws that it was hard not to give an answer pointing them out.
