While lucky islands is mostly the same on cubecraft’s bedrock server as it is on their Java server, there are also several noteworthy differences which make these versions of the game different from one another. As someone who exclusively plays the bedrock version I am not very familiar with what Java lucky islands is like or how it is different from bedrock, and for a long time I felt that these differences weren’t very significant. However, I recently realized that the differences between these two versions of the game are very significant. When providing feedback or suggestions regarding lucky islands, what may benefit one version of the game could potentially hinder the other version, I have realized that it is important for me to think about both versions of the game when considering potential changes. Understanding version differences would also improve communication and understanding between players who play on opposite versions.
For these reasons, I would like to compile a list of differences between these two versions of the game, everything including specific drop mechanics, possible drops, kits, voting options, maps, or any other noteworthy differences. This is not a task I can do on my own, so for any Java players or people who play both versions who are reading this, I would greatly appreciate your help to identify differences between these two versions.
I will be sorting through and listing all the differences between bedrock and Java lucky islands here:
There are a few ways that you might be able to help me out. Recording and uploading raw and unedited gameplay footage of lucky islands Java might be the simplest and most effective way, as I can identify any distinct differences in lucky islands game mechanics, as well as how other factors such as PvP mechanics, player skill, and common tactics impact the gameplay experience. I’m already well aware that kits and maps are different between these versions so simply listing all of them, as well as what’s included in each kit, would also be helpful. I’m not sure if Java has different voting options either. You could also take a look at This spreadsheet which I have annotated. This was created to show loot weights, but it can also act as an official list of what drops are in the game between both versions (as the original copy came from Laura, a former developer) Anywhere in the “notes” column that reads “not in bedrock” or “I don’t know what this is” are drops which I don’t recognize as being in the bedrock version of the game, if you think you know what these drops are please explain them to me, showing any images or videos of these drops would also be greatly appreciated. If there are any drops on the list which, you, as a Java player, don’t recognize, please let me know in case it is exclusive to the bedrock version of the game. Also let me know if you notice any drops that are missing from this list and should be included somewhere. At the bottom of the spreadsheet is a list of the diamond lucky block drops on the bedrock version of lucky islands. Laura made me aware that diamond lucky blocks contain different loot on both versions of the game, so feel free to identify any differences here as well, and keep in mind that the loot for diamond lucky blocks is completely different from blessed loot. You could also view this list of crazy mode events and if there are any events that you think are missing or which you don’t recognize, it may be a difference between bedrock and Java:
Bunny mode, strength for all, speed mining, zombie invasion, treasure island, arachnid ambush, crumbling floor, ender pearl generator, pillager raid.
If you want me to explain or show anything regarding the bedrock version of lucky islands I could do that for you as well.
As mentioned, I greatly appreciate any help I am to receive while working on this. Thank you!
