Rarely, is somebody going to say "gg" to you. No, they're going to swear at you, call you a noob, blame lag, and tell you that their dad is an admin who is going to ban you, safe in the knowledge that they'll probably never see you again. Also, because you don't have time to warn them nor report future retaliations, players who are disrespectful after a duel are allowed to get away with it. Disabling chat upon the conclusion of a duel will resolve this problem. To counteract players who will be wanting their 1xp at the end of the game, give it to them for saying "gl" at the beginning of the duel, instead :)

This only applies to 1v1 duels

You're actually allowed to report players whom are swearing or calling you bad names for targeted chat offences. Most of the times they do get muted. Sometimes they get a warning. Depends on the Staff member and wait they said, really.
Anyhow I don't really want to remove chat after a game. I do say gg or simply something else after a game if I'm playing with a friend.
Besides you could just simply ignore players with excuses, players saying ez, noob or hacker anyways. I never bothered me and it still isn't

I understand your suggestion. Saying 'gl' for the game starts is A good idea, but for removing 'gg' isn't A good option. There are always people that can't against their loss, but there are also people that really mean 'gg' and FairPlay is important.

But if other people turn off chat they wont see ny 5zig macros! I won't be able to give them my 1.9 PvP tutorial when they are spam clicking, the report command when they call me a hacker, and my warning for targetted swearing so they don't get themselves muted. D: Also half the fun from duels is their reaction for me. :)

Personally I don't get the people who say "gl" before a duel as its just you and another player using the same gear to fight each other. Luck shouldn't be involved in that. :P Most of the time it comes off to me as "Good luck! You're going to need it because there's no way you can win this duel without it!" :(

So I think the chat should be kept the way it is right now :3 If someone really doesn't like the chat they can always disable it themselves in chat settings as well.

A nice suggestion. I would agree with this, as it's only one xp that you lose, and as you said just make it so "gl" at the beggining goves you that xp.
Keep it up!

Agree.
Like others have said, it would be nice to get your 1xp by saying "gl" at the beginning of a round.

I often get annoyed by people who hackusate me at the end of rounds.
Its really quite anmoying also when people scream at you for doing nothing but winning a duel.
I mean, really? It's just ONE duel. I dont think it will affect them for the rest of their life.

I also think at the end of the dual though you are only allowed to say "gg" and nothing else.

Eh, personally I'm not for this. Toxicity is an issue in Cube, especially with people who can't comprehend that, maybe they are simply just terrible. But it's not like it's something you can't really handle. It's easy to ignore, and when you do win a duel, the victory time is barely 5-7 seconds. All they could type is hacker. Or ez. Which, if you want, can report. But it's just something I would ignore.

While at it, we should disable the chat everywhere and replace it with some selected friendly emojis. Also disable skins and let players select from a list of approved skins.

In my opinion this would go way too far, the chat should be a part of the game. Sometimes I just want to comment on what happened, not even in a disrespectful way. Also sometimes you meet a random player and would like to rematch them. Or you meet someone you know and want to meet them in a lobby.
I wouldn't mind making hackusating or being disrespectful mutable, but disabling the chat after duels would be a bad solution in my opinion.

I see a lot of people saying "It's not that big a deal" or something of a sort. Keep in mind that Minecraft's main demographic is children, many in which who come to Cube because it's a family-friendly community. Toxic behaviour is a big deal to them.

Well, this is the internet. Cube can try to maintain a child friendly environment, but toxicity is still a thing even here. Who's to say the player won't say the same thing during the game? Or in the lobby, or every time they meet you? What can you do about it? It's a phase most people go through, and it'll pass. But in the mean time, chat filters and reports will have to do.
