Since the server has moved solely to discord, I think it's time we have a discord music channel. I have found the ErisBot to be a simple bot to install and use. That bot allows people to use music from youtube and soundcloud. If a music channel was added all you would need is another text and voice channel.

EDIT: I have made a discord where you can test Erisbot out for yourself https://discord.gg/HN4R6gr

EDIT 2: Because some of you want to go against this suggestion before trying it out, here are the possible commands

play [URL/Video Title] - Start playing/play a song from YouTube/SoundCloud
pause - Pause the current song
volume [0 - 100] - Changed the volume of the music. Admin/DJ Overridable
queue [Page number] - View the Music queue and select which page
skip [number] - Vote to skip a song. Requires 40% of undefeaned users to skip
forceskip - Force skip the song Admin/DJ Only
nowplaying - View what's playing
stop - Stops the player and completely resets everything Admin/DJ Only
verbose [yes/no] - Should I be a bit more detailed? Admin/DJ Only

EDIT 3:
I have created a poll so you can vote on what you believe should happen. I noticed I may have created some confusion. I am simply suggesting a music channel, The bot I suggested was just one that I knew worked well.

It's pretty useless as you can just go to YouTube or Spotify. So I think this won't be added.
But keep making suggestions, the Staff members always appreciate new ideas. :P

Except with this it's essentially a voice channel where only the bot can talk, meaning everyone can hear the song, so you can share music with members of the community without spamming chat with song links.

Yeah, but there are 800 people only now, it will become a mess if everybody wants to hear another song.

I would like a music bot for in the Discord server of CubeCraft. We had a music bot in TeamSpeak, but TeamSpeak is gone sadly enough.
@_AmazingWays_ is right though. It can be abused. A person could just queue 1000 songs and then nobody can listen to the song he/she wants anymore.

There is a vote skip, where only 40% of people need to vote to skip it and it will be, or a staff member can go and force skip it.

Honestly, people just abuse this feature. They put a bunch of kids screaming. Just use an official platform for music.

I mean everyone's musical tastes differ from others, so I'm sure if I put deathcore in there there would be people who get annoyed. Or depending on the song people could get offended, like I'm sure there aren't very many people who play on cubecraft who would like to listen to deathcore. Basically this sounds like a good idea, until you realize that most of the music in there will be stuff you don't like. Then there's the trolls, who will either post songs with 'adult' themes (Crewcabanger by Chelsea Grin is a great example) or just spam it with something like "-insert annoying sound here- for 10 hours" and they'll say "that's what I listen to when I play" and you can't really prove them wrong. There are so many downsides, and really no upsides because you can just use youtube or whatever to play music while you play anyway.

-Vote skip. Only takes 40% of people to say they don't like it to have it skipped
-If someone plays offensive music, you can use staffhelp
-There's honestly nothing stopping someone from swearing in normal voice chat, however I rarely see it, and there's a rule against it
