This doerak guy or girl or whatever gave a valid suggestion in skyblock earlier.
What if there was a promotional discount in which donation rank prices were decreased by say 10% or something for a weekend or something? It isn't really much if you look at it this way; someone donating to obsidian is paying £150. With the 10% off discount, that's reduced to £135. That's still a heck of a lot, only it's reduced a little to make it seem more appealing.
Before you get the wrong idea, this could be either only availible to stones to encourage them to try out iron or lapiz, or could be for anyone who wants to upgrade from say iron to diamond with a little discount to make it seem a little more worth it. Just a random suggestion, as someone said that iron is a little expensive for them, and they aren't sure whether it's worth it. If the price was reduced to £9 for a weekend, the price tag is more appealing, and thus peopel will want to take advantage of this insane £1 off discount. What do you guys think of this? Would you like to see this kind of thing everytime that ccg reaches the donation goal or something, or maybe once a season?

I like this idea, since promotions giving a % off encourages people to buy ranks, when you see that there's a percentage off your brain says "Oh look, this is cheaper LETS BUY IT NOW QUICK BEFORE THE DISCOUNT GOES AWAY AND LETS PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE FACT ITS NOT ACTUALLY MUCH LESS OMG DISCOUNT IM GETTING SUCH A GOOD DEAL LETS BUY NOW" or at least that's what I'm like when I see a discount on sweets in a supermarket.. Or I just want an excuse to buy sweets.. Either way, it makes me buy them.

Ya it was the christmas discount :p I remember getting iron for £7.50
That's awesome :D They should do this more often. Not too often though, and not 25% off, but like everytime they reach their donation goal they should cut 10% off for a few days c:

There are only two approaches to discounting I can think of that are relevant here:

(1) Near-permanent "discount". The is what, for example, Tesco and Amazon do, where the full price is seen briefly and then there is always a "discount" at other times.
(2) Seasonal discounts. Discounts that happen on a systematised basis, such as at Christmas (mentioned).

The trouble with the unexpectedly timed discount periods suggested are that people delay purchasing after the discount period in the hope that an unexpected discount period will happen again. While this type of discount is what Steam do in their daily offers, the probability of a discount on a specific game are very low to try to prevent this delayed purchase.

There are may other kind of discount - bulk purchase discount, educational discount etc but aren't really relevant here.
