Changelog for EggWars Beta v1.0.1

Additions/Changes

  • 5 obsidian is now given instead of 8 on right click in villager shop.
  • 1 minute grace period has been added to bridge builders.
  • The price of 10 Block Bridge Builders have been increased.
  • The Gardens EggWars map has been added to beta.
  • Emerald Shop prices are now based on the items vote type rather than being a universal price.
  • Garden map now has an emerald generator and a emerald shop.

Bugs Fixes
  • Eggmite thrown eggs no longer damage players.
  • The Emerald Shop in the Forest map has been moved out of the tree.
  • Saturation is now completely full upon game start.
  • Health voting options are now given correctly.
  • End of game stats now shown for the winning players as well as eliminated players.
  • Tokens gained from Theft Ability will now stack with the generator tokens.
  • The ability to buy milk in overpowered mode has been fixed.
  • Classic shop will no longer bug out and cause prices and item amounts to be negative.
  • The buffer kit icon in the kit selection menu is now the correct splash potion item.

Just a quick question, will the full saturation at the start of the game also come too normal Eggwars? If not, why is it full to begin with? In the past you always started with 5, full saturation is fairly strong :)

Bridgers are way too expensive and don't get used often anymore, I don't think many people use these builders anymore and if you don't use these why play beta instead of normal eggwars? I think only update should be the 1 minute period of you not being able to use this and the update of making it very expensive should be undone.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. We've been reading a lot of suggestions, on different threads & the main EggWars Beta thread, and the majority of opinions is that Beta mode is too rushy, bridges are too expensive & they completely change the game. We're trying very hard to find a balance for everyone. At this point in time, we really want to keep the structures, but we feel like increasing the prices will reduce the amount of them used in the map, this will also reduce the amount of "rushing" games. We want Structures to be used, but not in all situations, so increasing the prices forces them to be used in late game. The core function for structures for us is that they are meant to be used later in the game to assist you with breaking players eggs. Structures aren't meant to be common, they are an extra assistance if you need it. We don't want to change EggWars a lot with structures, and making expensive will hopefully add some balance.

So at the end you are gonna keep a fraction of the new things that are in the beta game at the moment. And doing them in team and solo eggwars. But with increasing the prices you can keep the game good like it is, but with extra features from the beta game. Not bad at all.

Exactly! Obviously it's disappointing to remove features, especially if they have had a lot of development time put into them. We want to find a balance where we can implement them into the game and respect the community's thoughts and opinions on the matter the best we can.

From my understanding, on release, the community was split, liking the emerald shops & structures and not liking them. The people that disliked them mainly said that they are too overpowered and change the game too much. So if we made them a late game feature, it wouldn't change the whole game, to make the Normal EggWars community satisfied, whilst also keeping the Beta community happy as the features are still in the game, late in the game, but still in it :D

'Saturation is now completely full upon game start.' I have faced this problem more than once in the regular egg wars. When I get out of the cage, Saturation is minus half of it. Is this normal or a bug with the game?
