Not a bad idea, wouldn't hurt to put in the game. Examples:
- Permanent speed 1 effect.
- Permanent jump boost effect.

- Temporary effects (Potions like speed for a limited amount of time, like 5 mins)

I'm not too sure about this one, it's either this one, or the one above, as I don't think both of them in the same game would look too good.

- Random powerful items (Such as feather falling diamond boots)
Already in the game, but wouldn't hurt to add more, some examples:
- Different arrows with potion effects E.g: A poisonous arrow.
- A knockback I stick

I voted for 2 :) I like to have This to be added !! Having speed for 5 mins would be great. But I got one thing, for speed you can play speed eggwars. So it's difficult for me, so I voted for 2 But, I like 1 too!

Why I voted for number 1:
This decisision was made by me since I feel like there could be more stratgis. For instance, if you had a iron sword and strength buff, you'd be having the attack damage of a Diamond sword will really cheaper material, while you could those 12 diamonds for something else like a player tracker or a pickaxe. However, if they are going to be added, we must remember that, only the sp cific maps would be special.

If cube can somehow add a Emerald generator in each and every map, it would basically mean that they would have to Nerf/balance the map accordingly. So I guess ever new map should have the Emerald Generator.

If you had speed effects, it would basically be speed EggWars. At least to an extent.

Haste would help mining eggs, so there can be more obsidian given for balancing.. for instance 5 emeralds would give you 15 obsidian in normal mode.

Team upgrades should be announced in chat since it is not really fair at the current state to go unannounced.

I agree, Emerald generators should have a larger radius especially in the map Mushrooms, where you can fatm gold and emeralds at the same time. However the range should not go bigger than the farthest generator in the middle island, since people would be hiding on the edges and to do a loot run.


Instead of being 15 seconds first level and 8 seconds 2nd, it should be 10 seconds first level and 5 seconds 2nd. The level two upgrade would cost 20 emeralds.

Other generators for the maps could also get better levels. (This is a bit controversial) Diamond generator's level 4 upgrade. Costs 20 Emeralds for a 2.0 delay between each diamond and stacks up to 20. Gold can get Level 5 for 0.75 second delay, and can be upgraded for 10 Emeralds and stacks up to 35. There shouldn't be a iron upgrade since it's already quite fast.

The current maps with Emerald generators could be balanced if the update takes place. For example Western's Starting islands could be made further apart, and there could be more sub-association islands. All these maps should be balanced accordinglyto the added items.

Enderpearls. Enough said.
If it's for rewarding players for holding mid and especially for stopping campers, this is the way to go.
Other options are invisibility and levitation potions and almost broken Elytras (and before anyone mentions it no you cannot shoot yourself with a punch bow in eggwars)

Time to go on a rant. In my honest opinion, emerald generators should be removed entirely, or have an ender pearl only use (or just from hardcore and normal mode, I don't really care about OP). Let me explain why: @KronosReeper @Gainfullterror
The thing we'd like to achieve with Emerald generators is rewarding teams for holding the middle of the map.
They're already rewarded. Mid camping is a completely broken strategy as it is. WHY would you want to ENCOURAGE people to do this? Let me explain one game I was in:

I was playing a game of Aztec, normal mode normal health. I was on red team and after building to mid, I went straight to yellow. I went straight toward the egg and easily killed all six members of the team. I then cut across mid and went for green. I easily took the egg, but this team was much harder to kill. I still managed to kill four of them, but the last two killed me. When I went back to my island, guess what! Three blue people were standing at the end of our bridge! Now understand, our bridge to mid was completely intact and more than half of it was guarded, meaning we couldn't get knocked off by bows. We started to continue the walls toward middle. We didn't run into too many problems until the final 10 blocks - this didn't take any more than 5 minutes to accomplish. But by the end, it was impossible to cover those last 10 blocks. Understand, these three guys had power AND punch bows, meaning we never knew what to expect when crossing the bridge. By the way, going out is not an option because you'll need 12 to 15 stacks of blocks to do that kind of bridge on Aztec. Plus, if people go out that splits the team - giving the mid campers a chance to attack while we're vulnerable. So, we had to figure out a way to cross the bridge - it was the only option. You want to know how? 25 minutes later, those two people over at green came over and attacked them. Yes, just 10 blocks and we had to wait almost half an hour. By the way, those people had no skill - I took all three of them out without taking any damage. After that, I then had to go through three more people - who this entire time have been collecting from mid as the other three guarded us. These people were stacked AF and I had no shot against them, even though I was WAY better at PvP than them.

And by the way, we had no diamond gen active. So don't even try to say we could've fought them back with bows.

This should hopefully stop those annoying campers from chilling on their islands for the whole game.
Nope, this won't do one damn thing to stop them. If anything, it will just make campers even more prominent. People that want to defend their egg will do anything to defend it. They won't go to mid just to gain a slight gear advantage. The ONLY thing this will do is discourage good people from rushing any more than their next door neighbor - extending games way longer than they should be and creating campers that are literally unbeatable as they can collect diamonds with stat boosts at the same time. I'm used to fighting 4 v 1s WITH gear disadvantages. Now imagine a team at my skill level, camping the diamonds / emeralds, with gear advantages. Would you want to ever deal with that? And trust me, people like @iConfueZ and @Phids are much better than I am - just imagine THAT.

And seriously, what is the problem with just adding ender pearls already? It would do exactly what you asked - preventing campers and giving rewards for holding mid WITHOUT adding an endless supply of skilled mid campers. Sure, it might take way a few rushers but that would have at worst 50/50 opinions and it would make eggwars much more enjoyable.

Feels a bit.. too bedwars-y... This also encourages camping to be even stronger than they already can be.

I don't like the idea of having potions in Eggwars, as I love the straight-forward non-pot fights.

As long as they're usefull in OP as well as in Normal, I'm okay with it. Just nothing too broken for every map, like a knock back 2 or fire aspect item.

Also, from current suggestions we’ve got the idea to make emeralds spawn faster and make the range you have to be in much larger at the middle.

The thing we'd like to achieve with Emerald generators is rewarding teams for holding the middle of the map. The longer that you hold the middle for the greater the rewards. This should hopefully stop those annoying campers from chilling on their islands for the whole game.

Emerald gens are mabe the biggest problem we have sometimes. It's the perfect reason to camp! Why sit at your island with diamonds while everyone else can get them too, when you can camp the middle so you have diamonds AND emeralds while they have absolutely nothing!
Mid camping is such a broken strategy, that it needs to be discouraged if anything. The matched of which I was in with mid campers, have honestly been the worst matches I have ever played. This strategy is especially favoured in Underdasea (Needs to be removed to be honest... Camper nest)
Chilling at your own island, no biggie. We can manage to get them, as we have better gens since they voluntarily isolated themselves from the middle.

However, we need YOUR feedback on what we could add to make them even more desirable and eggciting!

Emerald generators are cool and all, fun for wacky, out-of-element items, but please... do NOT add them to every map. I already avoid the emerald maps because of the incentive to camp. I rather see them be added in every 6th map added, as they're annoying as is because of the reason listed above.

Possibly. It has to be cheap enough to kill mid campers without extending the game by hours, but it needs to be expensive enough to prevent players using it for rushing their neighboring islands, so yes, 32 looks good to me.
Considering 50 obsidian is needed for a layer of obsidian in normal, 32 is a bit underpriced.


Short opinion:
I like them every now and then, but I rather not play with them as they are an incentive to camp the middle (which is way worse than camping your island) & have very annoying items sometimes. Just don't make them too rewarding. Camping mid is a scummy thing to do.

I think it would be cool if emeralds were hard to get but could be used to buy some really neat gear. Like if you gave poison to everyone around an emerald gen, but emeralds could buy you a fire aspect sharpness VII sword if you got a lot of them. Or if you could buy bedrock with emeralds. Know I know bedrock is normally unbreakable but I'm sure cubecrafts devs can code in an item (say a stick, that you can buy) that can be used to break bedrock. Another idea is armor with thorns on it.

Or even an item that has knockback resist, like a gold pick with effeciency 5 and knockback resistance on it, but it has like 4 uses left on it, or just maybe just some otherwise useless item that has kb resist on it. You can also lower the level of knockback resist to make it not extremely OP, like have the item have knockback resist 0.7 so even when holding it you would take knockback 30% of the time you get hit making it useful, but riskier the longer you rely on it. Meaning that if you're running over a really long bridge and someone is shooting you with a punch bow, each shot has a 30% chance of punching you but the longer the bridge the more you will get shot in the process.

Maybe we could implement a system where you can only use levitation potions in a general oval at your island. Like this:

I don't really agree with powerful items if those are items with insane knockback or crazy armor.
There is already a knockbakc mushroom which I already don't like as it ruins the game completely for me, but I see that the ones using it love it :P
Anyways, I would love to see team upgrades and poitions, but not really the special items. ;)

Would make it impractical against campers, and how would the area be defined in maps like Dwarven? do you HAVE to know where you are to make use of it?

And what do you do when you get to mid? The opposing team camping it most likely has iron armor by then and will be pretty hard to take over. If you can use levitation to escape, so can they. This means that they can bridge once, then get a pot & break the bridge behind them so they can escape without bridges leading to them.
Also, how in the world would they code an efficient region to where certain teams can make use of levitation? What if they accidentally levitate into another territory?

Thing is, to prevent mid camping it needs to be available for gold or iron. I also want to be available exclusively for mid camping prevention , but it doesn't have to be. You can only use levitation along the very edges of mid and their home island, so invisibility might be a better choice now that I think about it. Do you agree?
