Eggwars Normal and Speed whats the difference?!?

So as we all know awhile ago Cubecraft removed the speed effect in speed Eggwars making speed almost identical to normal besides the fact of the kits and maps.

Idea 1: Speed and Normal are just merged (including the kits and maps) together making one single game in Eggwars.

Idea 2: Have an insanity gamemode with the same kits and maps as speed. As of what the insanity gamemode should consist of is unknown to me at the moment.

I think speed eggwars is fine as it is. Honestly though, I thought there was already a speed buff, but it doesn't show. Might just be me, also no gamemodes I think that they should be working on abilities for speed rather than gamemodes.

If you look at the original suggestion threads, speed eggwars was designed to go faster, and not take 1+ hours like some eggwars games can (ie only having unenchanted bows to help combat camping)

This is the best suggestion of all time. Maps were made to go faster thats true , but they could say something like [FAST MAP] on the sign as a disclosure

Insane mode is the greatest idea

The speed kit requires you to use a potion and the shovel kit is the most used one at the moment and the map sizes are dependent some are larger than normal I also completed some Normal maps with my friends faster than a speed.

Yes! Speed maps should be combined with something else to make something new. And also Crazy Mode is like everything in Speed that we like only for old speed maps.

This is why speed is half-dead nowadays. It's way too similiar to Normal, yes it's bit faster in regards of the time it takes to win a game, yes it has smaller maps, but this doesn't differentate the gamemode enough for Speed to truly be succesfull. Which is why, for to sake of Speed to somewhat live on, we need change.


I like your proposed ideas. (Thoughts on idea 1: )If they're gonna keep Speed like this they should imo just throw the gamemode away and intergrate it with Normal Eggwars and not dedicate a whole gamemode to it.

(Thoughts on idea 2: )The think i like the idea, although it's very very vague right now, so it's hard to make a proper judgement on this. The idea on first glance sounds cool though. I remember @Chat Filter to have made a familiar thread with a similiar idea to this.

The Speed eggwars maps are smaller then the normal eggwars maps so it will be easier to destroy eggs, I like how Speed Eggwars is right now. And I definitely LOVE the Mixing Spoon kit.

Speed effect was annoying to PvP with, and some people were just falling off carelessly. It was requested to be removed and hence action was taken.

On the topic of them being similar, I agree. Maybe it's kind of useless now but the point is that you get faster games, which aren't usually possible in Normal eggwars, yes you might be a pro at EggWars but not every time do you get games that end within 10 minutes. Speed eggwars games ALWAYS end in 10 minutes or under.

I am not sure, but Speed EggWars was a surprise. No one knew that they were adding a new gamemode, or did they know that someone suggested it.
