If the guy is against the idea for no exact reason but just because he doesn't feel like it should belong in the game, or not really something he'd like, then let him

The point is that you can't just discredit the idea of someone else just on the basis of how you feel. You have to provide counterarguments.

You should always question as much as you can.
Also the poll literally says "please explain why".

I already mentioned why that statement is false. Gear doesn't come out of thin air, generators are still needed.

How in the world would this be a good idea? This should be about reason, not solely on your prejudices. If you base your argument about how it affects your feelings you should at least explain why.
