Lets be honest here. Camping will NEVER stop, one kid tries it, wins, then does it for another game, then tells his skill-less m8s, then they do it. Its like a virus, it will spread and spread and spread until everyone camps and the game is no longer fun.it didn't solve the camping issue one bit as these items don't help, they make campers more POWERFUL
I'm going to be completely honest here. I did not like this update. Here's why:
A. Rushing
Rushing was the predominant strategy to deal with campers before this update. That got thrown out the window on maps with emeralds. I also don't see how this update discourages camping as people just camp mid now. Now do I think it's as bad as island camping? No.
How are you supposed to get out of an island when someone is bowspamming you from center and they have KB 2 mushrooms? Now, they still don't do @mateu9999 style camping but still, it didn't solve the camping issue one bit as these items don't help, they make campers more POWERFUL.Because It's Worse
The Emerald generator only works when a player is nearby you can't just let it run then pick all the eeralds up.But how is it worse if they can't buy items at mid? If someone's camping mid for emeralds, then they have to travel back and forth from their mid to their island to buy the emerald items, right? This gives you a good chance to shoot them off as they travel back and forth. Heck, after enough time you can exhaust their arrow supply and force them to travel back to their island to buy more. I think it's a major step in the right direction to make camping less cheap.
It still does absolutely nothing to prevent home island campers and the number of them hasn't gone down at all. Also, how so you suppose people that rush in leather armor are supposed to shoot people off? This update actually encourages mote camping. But how is it worse if they can't buy items at mid?
