emeralds in skywars why

hi in skywars why would they have emeralds if there's no villagers to trade with i think that should be removed

I get what you're trying to say. Emeralds are basically taking up space in the chests. I saw a post earlier in the year where they might make them be some sort of capsules. That when you throw them an item pops out. Hopefully in the future the Emeralds become something you'd want to get in a chest. Otherwise- there is no point in having them.

emerald is for map "end". you use it to get perks from beacons if you put it in them.....

so.. not useless, and they can't just put it in one map only, i dont think it works like that, and they also can not take it out because it is one of the cool and unique features of map "end".
