Hmm. I'm not really sure, in hard mode they kill you in 1 hit if wearing full prot 4 diamond armor. Granted you can bow them. I would say yes as long as they cost a few diamonds.

I think 5 diamonds per crystal is feasible. In OP mode, that is.
It would definitely be a late game defense.

It's basically useless as a defence, don't think I need to explain myself on this as @jollow250 already mentioned it. It could be fun as a trap, but it wouldn't be used that much. The best thing to do is to put it on a bridge and shoot it when players are crossing it, which would be kind a useless as they can just see it, shoot it and build a new bridge. I wouldn't actually mind if this was a thing though, I mean I'll never use it anyways and noticing it would be too easy (as a trap). And it would barely be used (if it's even gonna be used) as a defence. I just think it's a waste of time for the developers imo.

I like this idea, should be well balanced though. Besides, I wouldn't use it as a egg defense, more of like a defense, to destruct forts or bridges with enemies in them.

This can already be done with TNT, granted you know how to make a basic tnt-canon, but this is less effective, and harder to aim. Crystals will make it easier to remotely blow up your enemies.

I think this totally should be added, but at a price. Considering it'll be used in the late game.

You need 5 to cover the egg. They do terrible amounts of damage you don't need 16.

It is still 25 diamonds which is a lot. And if you have obby covering the egg you may need more to cover the obby covering the egg.

I agree, besides, you can use them in other places than just your egg, you can remotly explode bridges, fortresses etc, Just make sure your opponent doesn't notice the crystal and hit an arrow on it's HUGE hitbox. BOOM, opponents dead. I think just 5 diamonds isn't enough. They should be more. Let's say 10 diamonds or 30 gold for OP and double that for normal.
