I don't have too much to say since I'm not the biggest fan of this game, but here's some of my thoughts that could be implemented for next year:
Flashlight battery
Currently the battery recharges a chunk at a time every 8 minutes or so, but that isn't very useful to be honest. I conserved the flashlight the entire game by way of swapping to the torch for a fraction of a second, and I still ran out of battery really quickly.
Instead of getting a third/fourth of the battery every X minutes, I'd much prefer the battery to passively charge up overtime. That way you still have battery for most of the game, but not a huge amount of energy.
Summary: Passive recharging instead of random bursts every ~8 minutes
The Ender
I, and many others have noticed that the Ender has a huge advantage compared to the Humans due to his abilities.
I'm not necessarily suggesting to remove them, but a slight change would be nice.
Instead of a completely frozen effect, why not a slowness debuff? That seems way more fair for the humans as they're not forced to be locked in place.
If this were implemented though, there'd have to be a countermeasure as it usually isn't too hard for someone to avoid being hit by the end when frozen. People who know what they're doing don't have much trouble dealing with it.
So if the ice ability would be replaced with a slowness ability, I think the Ender should have his own chance to force a teleport instead of being teleported every 30 seconds. This may be to the Ender's advantage, so the Ender is still forced to teleport every 60 seconds.
Summary:
Change Ice ability to a slowness effect
Give the Ender the option to teleport out of his own will every 30 seconds
Ender is forced to teleport every 60 seconds instead of 30 seconds
Pages
The pages are pretty difficult to find as the humans. In fact, this is also a reason why people leave if they're the human. Them leaving is also a cause for the pages being more difficult to find. It's a vicious cycle, really.
A way to make pages easier to locate is simple: Add a sound effect, or something similar, to signify if you're getting closer to pages or not.
I'd personally use a heartbeat playing the entire game, and going faster the closer you are to a page. This would make it a bit easier for the humans to win.
Summary:
Give players a heartbeat sound in-game
Make the heartbeats go faster if they get closer to pages.
