Since it's the spooky month I was wondering if you know of any monsters from folk lore around the world that you find neat. Personally this is a little generic but I always been a fan of the moth man, which is a flying humanoid figure that often flies over areas of misfortune. It's unknown if the moth man is the one causing the tragedies or if it's merely trying to warn of the incidents that follows. It been my favourite since I was a kid thanks to how mysterious it was and I'm curious to know how intelligent it is and how evil it actually is.

Another monster from folk lore that I like is the Kelpie, I heard about it when I was visiting the UK for a vacation and it's basically a water horse that can shape shift and will drag people down into the water if they get too close to the edge. It will also shapeshift into a normal horse for people to ride and then just run straight under water. Which is such a scary monster to deal with tbh. Something that can mask as even a human and mislead you to a water grave. It also looks cool

This is a very basic answer, but my favourite creatures from folklore/mythology have to be dragons. They come in all kinds and shapes, with stories from all around the world: The Middle Ages in western culture and generally in eastern culture as well, those are fairly known everywhere. Viking longships with a dragon carving on the front anyone? Ever since I got introduced to the HTTYD franchise, I've been a massive fan. @BurgerCat13 would probably agree with me here.

Stories range from vicious dragons defending treasure troves, to them being worshipped as gods. I'm a big sucker for folklore about mythical creatures and fictional approaches.

Yessss... Dragons are indeed the best creatures when it comes to mythology/folklore and depending on the mythology they are either depicted as evil gold hoarding lizards that terrorizes kingdoms to dragons that are wise, powerful deities that have control over vast lands
And then there are the dragons that are depicted as big scaly fire breathing cats which are the best amongst all 🧡
But aside from dragons I also love its other counterpart which are wyverns which unlike dragons are 2 legged instead of the usual 4

Futhermore, Griffins are also another mythological creature which have a body of a lion and the talons and head of an eagle. Just the concept alone is very fascinating to me and they are also depicted really nicely
