Java Featured Games...

I'm keeping this simple and short (Spoiler Alert: It's not actually simple and short):

Why? Just why? We already got snowman survival as seasonal game. Why add slime survival as well now? It's the same game but with a different name, a slime block instead of snowblock and different maps. I'm sure it has a few other changes as well, but you get my point. It's litterally the same. You could've added bingo, infection, the parkour minigame (and no, that is not the same as parkour.), battle zone, uhc, a new total different never been seen before game. But instead you choose a game that had already pretty much been featured..
As seasonal game you could've added present rush, a pretty original and most importantly, fun game. Then a few months later, you add slime survival. Or you could've instead of slime survival added another game. (Adding present rush would've been the most fair, in my opinion.)

This isn't even the worst featured game that has been chosen. Only a few days ago, Blockwars CTF got added. Fine by me. It's a fun game to play. If it wasn't for the fact that a few months ago this had already been added. And it wasn't a case of then adding Core now adding CTF. No no no. When it got featured a couple months ago, it was both CTF and Core. The latest time it was only CTF. Why? You have *so* many options. You have *so* many games you can feature. But you why add games that have already been added?

It shouldn't bother me, but it does. Together with the help of @Parrot and @SanCookie I created a list of all of the previous added games you can add as featured game. Now I've colour codes them as well.
Red = This game has already been added.
Blue = Most likely to get added (I did not count if it's 12 in total..)
Pink = Should get added (This is also partly opinion wise..)
Green = Most likely to never get added

See how many games? Most of which who are very original, I think.. Yet, CubeCraft makes the great decision of adding a game that has already been marked red. Why.. Just.. Why..

Suggestion: Do not add games that have already been added.. I've added Speed Eggwars to the list, if you decide to bring this back. Do not make it a featured game.. Just.. Don't.. If you bring it back, which would make my quite happy, add it to Eggwars. It'll be a permanent game (If you want it all to make sense) but don't add it to the featured games since we already have Eggwars. Speed and normal Eggwars do not have that many differences.

In my head, this would've been the thread. This would've been it. But there was one extra problem. So I've decided to just throw that in this thread as well

Two days is not a whole lot, is it now? Yeah I don't think so. This has been mentioned in a thread before and I want to mention it as well. Improve the time. Two days is way to little. 14 days is too long, it takes pretty much forever for a new game to come then. But add some more time. Three-Four days sounds more then reasonable. Nothing more to say about that. If there are 12 games, this means that your favorite game, if it's even featured, will come back once in a bit more then a month. Which isn't that much in my opinion.
Suggestion: Make it 3-4 days instead of 2

The time is short, I agree with that. So that's one thing.
However, adding games twice isn't that big of a deal. The games will come and go fast so your favorite games will probably show up within a month, actually, I've heard someone say every game shows up twice a month.
About slime survival, it's fine that it's there. Snowman survival is probably just for Christmas so it isn't in the official list of games. (Atleast, I assume that)
Seeing the parkour minigame back, would be great, just like most of the others on the list. But let's just wait which games are already on the list but haven't shown up yet.

I think it's just frustrating because there are so many other games that could have been featured for the first time before Snowman Survival came back for a second time. The same goes for BW CTF.

Both Blockwars as well as Snowman Survival got added before the ''2 days per game'' was a thing. Meaning Blockwars stayed for 14 days, and Snowman Survival as well, maybe more because it was a seasonal game and I remember it being there for a very long time.

I thought so as well, I mentioned that in a part I later removed. There were 10 games added so far. Meaning there should only be 2 games left to add. But 2 of the 10 games were seasonal games, so I assume as well there are 4 games left to add.

It's like they are having a race against each other "How can we make something even worse?"
Let's take the chat filter, for example, whenever I get private messaged I get a pling sound but no text, just because the person who sent the message thinks it has been sent to me, but it wasn't because there was an inappropriate word or a server's name. It's just wrong.

Back to the topic: yes, they really can do a better job at picking what game should come first. They could have chosen a different order, like
big game - small game - big game - etc.
A big game is a game like Blockwars CTF or Bingo.
A small game is a game that once was a part of Arcade.

I really miss Bingo, the game got a huge bug where the ores didn't spawn in if there wasn't an air/water block around it, so you couldn't stripmine anymore, this bug existed for four months...

^ I literally missed both Paintball Blockwars and Wing Rush because of this :(

Should be at least half a week (3 days and 12 hours), because this way 8 unique and individual games can be featured on a monthly basis
And assuming there are a total of 19 different game modes possible to be featured, a game would make its return every 2 months, 10 days and 12 hours AND you'd have a greater chance of being able to play it as it'll last a little bit longer

What would also be fine for me, would be to set a new featured game every 7 days, though this would put a huge delay on how frequently a game would return
A new featured game every 7 days would allow 4 games in 1 month, which would mean your favorite game mode would return every 4 months and 3 weeks

I definitely prefer the first option here

The point isn't the game mode itself, but the fact that I could've missed and will miss a lot of games in the future

Blockwars was previously featured as a featured game and I want to remind you that it was only for10 days.

Games that were presented during the first stage of featured games:

Mineware: 14 days (it was added as a permanent game)
Blockwars (CTF and CORE): 10 days
lien dash: 14 days
survival games solo: 14 days.

Games that have been presented during the second stage of the featured games:

spleef: 2 days
blockwars ctf: 2 days
wing rush: 2 days
Archer assault: 2 days
Slime survival: 2 days

As you can see, a big game appears, then an arcade game, then a big game, then an arcade game, and so on.
If there is a list of 12 featured games, there may be 6 arcade games and 6 big games.
I do not see the problem that Blockwars has appeared again, we are in a new stage of the featured games and probably within those 6 big games is also Blockwars CORE, as Quetzi said in a thread.

Yes. I've not mentioned this in my thread but this is way too little. Staff said that since each game would be featured for two days only, you would be able to play your favourite game twice in a month. But let's take a random game for example. Parkour Minigame. It's most certainly not coming back, unfortunately. But I need an example. My favourite game is the Parkour Minigame. Since there are only 12 games, and my game won't get featured. I can wait half a month,but don't get to play my favourite game. Lets say they don't add Battle Zone and instead add UHC. Then I never get to play Battle Zone anymore. They added Barn Brawl in instead of Wing Rush, I never get to play Wing Rush again. They never add Barn Brawl, I never get to play Barn Brawl and so on. 12 games sound like quite a lot but it's really not. There is a chance that you don't get to ever play your favourite game again.

As you can see, a big game appears, then an arcade game, then a big game, then an arcade game, and so on.
If there is a list of 12 featured games, there may be 6 arcade games and 6 big games.

Blockwars got featured for 10-14 days. Both Core and CTF. Meaning players got the chance to play both games for 10-14 days. When they added Snowman Survival they got to play the game for 10-14 (or more) days. Then CubeCraft decided to add Slime Survival. That's more the weird and an extremely bad and unfair decision. Snowman and Slime Survival are practically the same game. Some really small differences here and there. If they decided to add Slime Survival they should've not made Snowman Survival the seasonal game. Since they added Line Dash they shouldn't have added the seasonal version of Line Dash as well. But then what should they have added? An original seasonal game that has not later been changed into a permanent game. Present Rush. If they added Present Rush and later Slime Survival it would've been more then fair. People got to play both games. About Blockwars. Staff said that the amount of time the games stay is good because you get to play your 'favourite game' twice a month. If they first add Blockwars CTF and Core for 10-14 days and later they add it CTF again, you're wasting time. If you understand what I mean? They could've added another one of the 12 games so players would've had the opportunity to play their favourite game again.
