Having multiple developers coding an anti-cheat is like creating a drawing with two. It will end up being a mess, as everyone has different ideas of how it should be. Just because you saw one cheaters -and not fifteen like six months ago- doesn't mean Sentinel has worsened.
Also, in case you aren't aware, numerous hacked clients are being made to specifically circumvent Sentinel. Sentinel catching cheaters can be seen as a cat and mouse game-- hacked clients are made so Sentinel doesn't find them, and the anti-cheat is being updated to detect those clients in particular.
Finally, keep in mind that all cheaters you see are the few Sentinel didn't catch. Sentinel has banned a few thousand players last week, and has overall banned over 600 000 players, from which only a small amount were actually false banned.
