Thats all very well, but misleading them directly is a different story. But not when I build a trap and say something to get players to set it off? Like how the builders made it seem like we would get items?

How so?Thats all very well, but misleading them directly is a different story.
Please read the two edits I added to my original postIt's very obvious.
It's too vague, as are most rules. Simply saying "no trolling" and giving only a handful of examples, none of which even slightly relate to this particular incident, means that it risks being misunderstood. A lot of people say things jokingly on the server, such as "Yes I do hack, thanks for noticing" (something that I say whenever I am accused - at least until they threaten to file a report - because it's funny). Should that also warrant a warning for trolling?2) It's a vague rule, but it is vague for a reason.
In Windows, it will close the client. It used to be done to scam in Factions (Player A hits Player B in spawn. It's safe in spawn, but Player B is now in combat. Player A tells Player B to type Alt+F4 to dupe their items. Player B is an idiot and does it, and their items drop to the floor. Player A heads to the black market to sell these stolen goods, and makes many shiny nickles). Can anyone tell me what (Alt+F4) will do if i do it ? I'm playing on mac OS so idk what thes keys will do ..

They're not limited in size in the way they are for the /rules command in-game, somebody should take a few hours to fully expand upon each rule. I could write one up if they wanted me to, and they could then change it accordingly. It's a quick and simple fix to any future misinterpretations or loopholes, to which there are sure to be plenty.

Hurray! Has your warning been lifted though? Because technically you didn't break the rules ;PWe've done it! Tacosbefriends said he would edit the rules to include this!

My warning has been lifted. However, I believe this thread should stay here so that this does not happen again and the rules can be changed.
So does that mean we can't add an achievement that requires you to blow TNT up with a pressure plateWe've done it! Tacosbefriends said he would edit the rules to include this!
Technically the Revenge achievement does kinda include this.So does that mean we can't add an achievement that requires you to blow TNT up with a pressure plate
Im really sorry this happened to you, lets hope this doesnt happen again! :DSorry for the clickbait title
Today, August 22nd, 2017 at approximately 10:00 am EST, I joined the server, only to find I had a warning. Upon further investigation (which was much harder than it had to be, staff) I learned I was warned for "Telling players false things" and given a link, that didn't work. After I typed out the link and visited the site, I got these screenshots.
In those pictures, I told someone if they step on a pressure plate they would get an achievement. However, when they stepped on the pressure plate they would actually blow up the island, with them in the process. Orangeric88 sent me a private message when I asked about it on discord, and this is how the conversation went.
However, if you look at the official rules, here, under the rule for trolling it says:
Does anyone see anything there about blowing people up, or telling them anything about an achievement? Yeah, I don't either. Orangeric88 says blowing them up is the same as selling them to Alt+F4 which would make their game close. To me, however, this is in no way the same. For what I tried, I would have gotten the kill, thus playing the game. I did not try to get them to close their game, nor did I send them screamers or say I was a staff member or otherwise.
- No trolling: This includes pretending to be something you aren’t just to get a reaction, such as the impersonation of a staff member or Youtuber. Also tricking players into closing their minecraft, or sending screamers.
Now, that brings me to my suggestion. Why can't I say that? I see absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be able to tell them it get's them an achievement. So, either make that rule more clear as to what counts as trolling and what does not or don't punish people for something they can't know is against the rules. Oh and before you say anything, the kit is called Bomber, giving you TNT as well as Redstone, and I don't know what you expect us to do with that because everything I can think of would be trolling.
EDIT: It appears what I said was not false. Due to the fact that I was still on the island at the time of telling them to step on the plate, I would have died at the same time as them, meaning they would have gotten the Revenge achievement, where you have to set it up so your opponent dies within 3 seconds of you dying.
EDIT 2: My warning has been lifted. However, I believe this thread should stay here so that this does not happen again and the rules can be changed.
