Web Forum Design

Hey, I have got a suggestion for the forum web design,

As you may have noticed, Cubecraft has this "new" web design on almost all their websites:

But on the forums, we have this "old" design:

Wouldn't it be nice if we could have the new design on the forums (and maybe the store) too, I think that it would give the forums a new and fresh look. I would say that it would look better than what it looks like now.

I certainly agree as the new design looks great indeed and it'd be awesome to have that new design on all the Cube sites.

Like @Nikoshka said under a profile post somewhere, they need an entire new website. This website is filled with bugs and most of them cannot even be fixed due to how outdated Xenforo is

Xenforo itself isn't outdated. It's the version that Cubecraft uses which is relatively outdated. Imo they should switch to Xenforo V2 consisting of a theme similar to that of the other sleek Cubecraft websites.

no? why would you think that. They would transfer everything over, Plus i dont think the data of this would even be at risk for the task at hand

I personally like the old design over the new design. The new design seems a clunky and isn't very aesthetically pleasing. I would prefer to keep the current design rather than getting the new one

Xenforo is made w/ PHP, it is outdated

but the software itself is still receiving support and bug fixes. There isn't really a great alternative to Xenforo when creating a Minecraft forum except maybe NamelessMC which is upcoming and still lacks a lot of required features. Xenforo is definitely not outdated and is still widely used despite using a potentially outdated language.

NamelessMC also uses PHP, rip

Windows vista received an update not too long ago iirc, still outdated

I'd call anything that uses PHP outdated, at this point theres just no reason other than legacy to use it but thats besides the point of this thread ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The inconsistencies in theming that we have on our pages currently is something that would be nice to get addressed at some point, which look we end up going for matters a lot less to me than having everything consistent.
