[FreeBuild] The Diamond System is the most stupid thing ever to be added

Hey,

I'm EXTREMELY annoyed by this Diamond System. Why?

Will you just take a look at these ''top plots'' on FreeBuild:

That's right. Some parkour created in max 2 hours is THE BEST PLOT out there.
A plot that looks like some bird decided to crap on it is top plot.
A PLOT WITH NOT A SINGLE BLOCK IS TOP FREAKING PLOT LIKE WTH

Can SOMEONE explain me WHY these plots are top rated.
This diamonds system was added for some sort-of ''competition'';
How in the world is it a competition, if these plots

These plots take no to zero effort.

Why should the system be removed?
First of all, this is FreeBuild, not Parkour-Build. It's not about competition, it's about sharing your BUILDS.
Like I previously mentioned, these plots that take a few days to create receive TOO MUCH diamonds for their effor.
Right now I'm showing MY PLOTS, (not to be selfish) but to compare to the cringe plots.

These receive no to little support from the ''community''. My ship received 30 diamonds and was number 17 or so in the ''hottest'' section and you guessed it, all other 16 were parkour. All my other plots didn't even RECEIVE A SINGLE DIAMOND.

Ah yes, good excuse but not at all.
FreeBuild is about building, Parkour takes 0 effort (unless you actualy detail it).
The top plots shouldn't be parkour or a crap that looks like a bird crapped on it. It should be an actual build.

Can you PLEASE explain, where you see a competition in FreeBuild if you create plots like I do, get ignored and just have to watch at other ''top'' plots that didn't even take effort.

Why don't we just remove it... It doesn't even give anything, no extra plots, no points or whatever.
And I'm GLAD it doesn't. Yes you should be rewarded for having a good build, but if your top parkour plot isn't even a build you shouldn't deserve a reward either.

Again, look at what I made (zero to little diamonds gives) and what ''the community'' made (2500Diamonds + no effort).
Where is the fun trying to become a top plot when people show no interest.

If you , yes YOU, are going to defend this ''system'' with ANY reason why it should be kept you might want to triple check your post before you post something stupid making yourself look like a staff wannabe.\

Make different sections when publishing your plot such as: Parkour - Builds - etc.
Again I'm saying I'm OK with it because actual builds will receive support aswell but the parkours will unfortunately still receive fame...

They need to just remove the diamond system.
There are so many players that give a horrible plot a diamond because it's on the top, because it asks for a diamond, or because it's someone they know.
The top has nothing to do with the quality of the builds, and that's why it needs to be removed.

To add to my suggestion^
They could also create a Parkour (in the compass) where you can make your own parkour and have an up and downvote system, like 9GAG, Imgur and Reddit have.

Oh while we at it, another option other than "removing" the diamond system, they could make an up- and downvote system.

3) Its actually quite simple how they got top plot. Its exactly how clickbait works.
I clicked on it, might as well give it a diamond now. Then the bandwagoning starts. Once they reach the top plots then its more bandwagoning. Other people thought this was good so it should be good without actually taking the time to really review the plot.
The problem isnt the diamond system. Its overadvertising your plots. Plots gain 0 publIcity without advertising so just straight up banning it wont work. The only argument against this that is semi-valie is, thats the communitys decision. My idea would be to rate plots still with diamonds but with a different ratio.
You could rate plots like this:
amount of diamonds/amount of players that joined the plot and stayed on it for longer than 30 seconds...

This is why Admins should be reinstated to their former importance, and be given the power to decide for themselves whose plots deserve to be on the list.

hard currency( real cash)=rank
rank= more possible plots
more plots = more diamonds
more diamonds(if diamonds gave points)= more points.
more points = more "soft currency"
To sum it up that would mean that
hard currency through a lot of sideways turns into soft currency which is not allowed by the eula.

So I do completely agree with your points, that the system has its faults and definitely needs to be reworked. I really like the idea of categories: Parkour/Puzzle, Builds, Roleplay etc. As for those 'basic' plots that have tnt just spammed on the floor or don't have anything, i'll go on myself and try and do some moderation and remove some from public, until I can find a delegate this to another staff member.

The system won't be reworked anytime soon unfortunately.

Just in general about the update, I have been paying attention to any posts that arrise, and we've added 3 more commands to W.E pro. (Hasn't been released yet, but shouldn't take too long)

We have also been reworking the plot report system (hasn't been deployed yet) so our staff team have the better tools to moderate reported plots, which again should help us reduce troll plots/inappropriate builds. This change should come soon.
