If you got all your friends to tell all their friends could consist of a lot of people.

But also it's a very simply command that wouldn't take much to add.
Ok yes, if you organize a competition and you got a lot of friends it's going to be worthit, but baby, tell me how many people does competitions? 3,4 or 5. Is it worthit adding a tool for 5 people out of 5k? Get yourself the answer.

That command isn't only for announcing a tournament but also for other cases. Like to tell everyone about your name change etc.

Like anyone cares about a name change. It would only cause trouble, since people would like to start a conversation with you and suddenly, you have to respond to 20 players online.

Some people are too lazy to open namemc and they f remove you instead.

Suggestion:
New command: /friend message all
or /friend messege @a

To messege all your online friends in your friend list
This can be handy if you've changed your name and everyone is saying: who are you? What is your name?

I hope this will be added.
I personally like the idea and I think it is helpful and useful.

https://nl.namemc.com/ If they're too lazy for searching on namemc they're not real friends, or they just can ask and you can tell them, isn't it easier? :o

MANY people don't know there's a place where you can check someone's name history
but you still didn't argument about the 'They can just ask' because there's no argument for it, it's the easiest way, and there is no need to develope something that isn't required.

Bro, you play on a minecraft server. Probably most of the people in your friend list are not your true friends. +Do you realize that when you change your name and someone removes you, he actually doesn't know it is you? So your argument about true friends kinda dies. Also, many people ask this question, and that's one of the reasons why this command makes our life a little bit easier.

I see people keep disagreeing and disagreeing but there is no obvious reason to not add it. It's not like you're messaging one friend a 100 messages, it's messaging 100 friends one message. Add a cooldown and you're good, This wouldn't be needed that much though, but this is one of those suggestions where people don't think straight and say no because "it's a waste of time to code". Newsflash, 30 minutes and you're done ( @OnePointEight.exe thanks for borrowing me this amazing quote).

It could be just me who thinks this but people automatically don't take suggestion as seriously from someone with no avatar and not even 100 messages than someone who does.

I'd rather see the developers spending their time on something else.
Developers get payed enough to live nicely, 30 minutes of their time wouldn't be that much of a deal

and it would be an easy way to spam everybody in your friends list.
Cooldown

Or you can just copy the message and send the same to all of them? It's not that hard, and the developement time wouldn't be worthit for that.
30 minutes needed from people who code for a living

How is it a 'quality of life' suggestion', it's not adding anything that you can't do now.
See it as a "luxury". It's not needed at all but could be done in less than 30 minutes by developers who code for a living. Wouldn't harm anyone as long as you use a cooldown.

Like anyone cares about a name change.
I would certainly care if a good friend of mine hasn't showed up for a week because of a name change. Or is that just me?

If they're too lazy for searching on namemc they're not real friends,
Pegi 3 game, avarage age of 10-11, goodluck with your 'real friends' bud

@Cuteee can you stop making excuses so that this is not added? You have reached such a point of saying "If they're too lazy for searching on namemc they're not real friends", LOL.
It simply admits that it can be useful in some cases, and that there are no reasons not to add this command. As already mentioned before, there could be an option to avoid spam, toggle it. If you would not use the command, it does not mean that it should not be added.

I'd honestly remove any friend that uses this. It's annoying to have such a spammy tool available, so I'd rather not add this. Aside from that, it's kind of useless most of the time and not worth developing.
Sure, there's the occasional incredibly situational use for something like this (in other words: basically never beneficial or useful), but that doesn't outweigh the problems with it in my opinion.

Something like: "Hello don't send me party invites, I'm gonna play alone"
+1
-> disable party invites

If they remove you without even asking, or without even checking namemc, means they don't really care about you. Maybe there are no reasons to not add this command but there's no reason to adding it. (In some way it can be helpfull.) The given above like 'If you change your name' (Which is only one time per month btw) or 'If they send party' that isn't necessary since you got your precious /fmsg name STOP SENDING PARTY and there ends the problem (I doubt anyone here gets 50 party invites when they join, and if you do you can toggle it to 'disabled' and there ends the problem) oh and organizing competitions, it's the worst argument I've ever seen, only 5 peoples organitzate competitions, so adding a 'luxury' for that 5 people out of 5k is needed? No. Ah and I'm not giving excuses, I'm giving facts, I honestlu dgaf about if this gets implemented or not, but I want you to think if you'll use it, and if you'll use it often so the developing time has been worthit.

Erm, I don’t think so but sure. It’ll take as per stated above; 15-30 minutes tops. I like the idea and would also add the feature to disable the messages if you don’t want them. Again stated above; like a toggle for allowing friends to @a message you. +1

Still, even if you'd have a cooldown of a certain time, you would still be able to annoy your friends.
I would certainly care if a good friend of mine hasn't showed up for a week because of a name change. Or is that just me?
If someone cares, they would just send you a message. And if you'd use the feature:
It would only cause trouble, since people would like to start a conversation with you and suddenly, you have to respond to 20 players online.

If this were to be added it'd be good to have some way of showing that its a global friend message...If someone messages me I'd assume they want to talk or atleast want a response and I'm sure whoever is using the global message to, for example, make a statement about a name change , wouldn't want to receive conversations from all his friends at the same time.
But anyway I don't like this due to the simple reason of messages only going to your only friends, so you'd still either end up needing to individually message, or resend the same message to people another time which would annoy people who already got your message before.

I'd say a better alternative to this is a "mailbox" system where you can send messages to individual people or /everyone in your friends list, who would then get notified upon logging in that they have mail.

OR add a “status” system. Possible statuses: “I’m spuuuni”, “can’t play right now I’m afk” or “I want to play alone, don’t send me p invites”

So people message you, you wouldn't receive anything, and they'd just get an automated message with whatever you write?

Yeah idk just an idea
I guueeeeess but I mean that would basically block out everyone, and again, it doesn't mean everyone will know that you've changed your name because not everyone will immediately notice and message you when you have your DND status up.
Still think the letter/mailbox system is better because
-Serves the purpose of the original suggestion
-Doesn't spam since you can choose to open mail
-Gives your message to everyone, even offline friends.
-Useful for other occasions
-(Maybe you can even gift cubelets with mail idk)

I see a lot of people arguing about my idea, which is good. But if the developers can make this command, it would be a lot easier.
I don’t see a problem if you can just toggle the command to get ‘@a’ messages. And if you add a cooldown of 5/10 minutes to send a ‘@a’ message you can’t spam it. This isn’t too much work for the developers. I think this would be good for the server.
