Frustrated with how many hackers are out there? READ THIS!

First off, sorry to any staff if posting the same thread in two places is frowned upon. I'm trying to help slow the pace at which we are receiving threads complaining about the hackers! If this isn't okay, please remove it!

Due to the recent prevelance of hackers, many server members are coming here to release their frustrations without looking into the issue first. This is causing an overload of repeated threads about CubeCraft needing to do something about it, which is clogging up the forum and making it difficult for those writing more insightful threads. So, before you go making a new thread about hackers, read what Cynamooo has to say on the subject, as well as further details below on what you can do to help!

Now some of you may say, "Record?! Why can't we use screenshots? I can't afford recording software!"

I'm pretty sure OBS has a mac download https://obsproject.com/ its what i use :P

It's just plain dumb.

I have a few problems with this:
First off, the system before the cancer that is what we have now wasn't the best, but it could have been a MUCH better placeholder until the anti-cheat is finished, but no, instead we just provide mercy to the hackers who honestly just dont care if they are banned on this server, because the current system makes them react like this:
Either A:
*Hacker gets banned
*hacker waits a week by hacking on another server
*hacker comes back and hacks on CC again.
*rinse and repeat a few more times.
And thats only for one.
imagine many, many more than that, and imagine all of the time wasted.
Or B:
player reports hacker and he gets banned, and the hacker has a few more alts so he can just finger the punishment system hard. (metaphorically, so you all wont just overreact.)

Also:
I think its kind of irritating how the staff are acting like we are the aggressors. Even though we all got angry due to a system that THEY created.
This server is really on life support. The anti-cheat is like a form of chemotherapy to the hacker cancer, but its one that holds back the threat, not stops it.
I do not usually play on CC rarely at all, and its unfortunate, because i really like the server itself. But as it stands now, the only way i will play on the server is with friends, so i can actually play while not getting turned into a shishkabob from all directions from some *********** (NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IT IS. ITS A JOKE. DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY) who decided to turn on killaura without any repercussion.

ALSO:
reporting is incredibly inefficient due to this:
Theres a lot of hackers on this server, so forcing a team of around like 30, maybe 40 people to handle it all would be incredibly slow, and IT IS.
you will likely get your report listened to around 2+ months after posting it, and this slow system is due partly to the fact that to beat a determined hacker, you will have to legitimately report them 3 times, which can take around 2-4 months to do successfully. THAT IS ONLY FOR ONE. So its basically having to kill your target 3 times to actually take them down, now think about fighting an army. YOU ARE BASICALLY FIGHTING 3 ARMIES USING THAT ANALOGY. We are only partly responsible for putting stress on the staff for fixing the hacker problem, and the rest are mostly due to the higher ups making everything way too slow to be even a little bit effective. If the current system is in place for the anti-cheat, the problem will get only a microscopic bit better, but thats like saying that you found a bone cell to replace somebody's leg, it just isn't enough.

because if i make it into a thread, it will be locked within a few hours. Guaranteed. I bet my leg and right eye on it. (not really, but its almost a definite.)

1. Ban lengths have changed. 1st offense is a month. 2nd offense is permanent.

2. If players actually have alts, they can do it on any server, so that point is moot.

3. For someone who is so certain of the servers imminent death, you sure seem passionate when posting now, which why are you posting anyway?

4. Who said the staff is acting like we are aggressors?

5. They did get off track with reports, and admitted it, but they are working hard to get caught up, which can be proven by the fact that my 2 most recent reports (within last 10 days) have been handled already.

6. Yes it's slow, but they don't want to release some half-finished project on us, so be patient and keep playing elsewhere for now if it's what makes you happy. :)

2. I dont understand what you mean by "Because of ***, your point is invalid" Please elaborate.

3. I was sure because of the server's (at that time) very flawed punishment system, but now it isn't the case anymore (as far as i heard), so that comment is simply invalid as of now.

4. Well, i just thought that they hadnt really apologised, or just redeemed themselves for basically just testing out something with a "lets see what will happen" kind of tone. Please give me the link to the thread where they explain in better detail the apology you mentioned in #5.

5. I guess we will have to wait and see how much good it does.

6. First thing's first: I never asked that the system be released early, but now that the punishment system is around how it should be for the system to function without banning too many innocent or too little guilty players for the time being.

FINAL NOTE: At least i know that they are listening. Just have to wait and see how much better the new punishment system does than its predecessors.

And like @CptSwollhouse wrote, you should report them without complaining until the anti-cheat comes in. Once the anti cheat comes in, everything should be a bit better than before and hackers are going to have a hard time trying to stay without getting kicked. Also a windows 10 and plus can be recorded simply by using Alt+Windows+R. But first, you need to confirm with the system that minecraft is a game. Once you recorded the hacker, press Alt+Windows+R again to stop recording. Then go into your library and search up .Minecraft and your latest rec should show up with the date. If you have any questions about this, PM me.

If only it was this easy. I tried with OBS and got 2 FPS, then Minecraft crashed. I was standing still in the lobby; rip those who have crappy computers ;-;
