I'll explain it once, here it comes. We have around 38 staff members who can ban players and more then 200k players a day, got it? ;)
Yes, but do you have enough food and time to ban the large portion of cheaters? If we assume that 1 in every 24 players is a hacker, then that is 4.2% of the playerbase. That's over 8k hackers on the server every day and staff can ban less than or around a hundred hackers per day. By the math above, there's more hackers coming on the server than you guys can clean up.I'll explain it once, here it comes. 20 reports, each with about 1 minute of footage. Assuming the average is a minute per video and each report has 1 video, that's 60 hackers per hour. Mathematically, it is still under the amount of hackers joining or returning using alts.We can do 20 reports in the time we have to spectate a hacker in game..
Hacks are NOT part of the game, what is part of the game is /gamemode X, /give etcThe answer is simple: hacks are actually part of the game. The flying hack many call it is actually in the game in the form of creative fly. Similarly, these "hacks" are actually legitimate features in another game, namely StarCraft 2. Since that game has legitimate features such as flying units, fast move speed, siege range, and fire-on-the-move, we can say one thing: the players are not hacking; rather, they are using legitimate features in MineCraft.
i don't want to be the person who uses the "Uncreative Idea" but i like, only problem is it will just give players an advantage through ghosting (as you stated)Spectator mode is a feature Mineplex has for its games. Did a game start and you missed the chance to watch? Got a youtuber you want to watch in the game but you missed out? No problem! Spectator mode allows you to join the game and watch what you like in addition to catching hackers!
I personally only like the only staff may use the command, because you could ask your friend to join the game and spectate for you from beginning to endWhat about spectator mode only for staff to prevent ghosting? Alternatively, only a limited number of spectators can join before a game starts. If a game has already started, spectators can join only when players die and leave.
xTurtle has hacked in single player before. Early in the year, he made a short series called "Hacking in Single Player."tell me this Does A Player Hack In Singleplayer (not to test the hack) Or Do They Use Commands In The Game Itself (or use of command blocks)?
I sarcastically wrote in the suggestion why hacking should be made into legitimate features. Outside of that sarcasm and put straightforwardly, you're right.People use hacks in games because the in-game commands are unavailable to them but they still want to use it, servers prevent people from using minecraft commands for multiple reasons that may vary, To keep the game more entertaining, To prevent people from destroying the server, To test your skills etc, if you gave the power to everyone it wouldn't be fun would it? it would just be who memorizes the most commands and types fast, people could just spam /kill player, /tp player X X X, /gamemode 2 player, you get my point.
I see, so a few didn't read the thread. The first line of this thread stated that I never talked about the anticheat in this thread. They are working at anti-cheat
Sorry my bad i will revieuw this when i am homeI see, so a few didn't read the thread. The first line of this thread stated that I never talked about the anticheat in this thread.
i personally never try and see if the suggestion is being sarcastic and think "Oh this person must but serious about their suggestion and doesn't want a silly reply"I sarcastically wrote in the suggestion why hacking should be made into legitimate features. xTurtle If he ever did this it will most likely be for the viewers and i was NOT talking about youtubers hacking in single player i was talking about hacking by yourself without anyone watching you, it won't be fun or maybe just a little bitxTurtle has hacked in single player before. I agreeQuestion 1 Yes :)
Question 2 No :(
He actually did do it. It wouldn't be as fun since the player can always create the world or open to LAN and enable cheats, so no need for hacks there. One of xTurtle's hacking in single player (HISP) videos was uploaded late January (first one January 26 of this year to be exact).xTurtle If he ever did this it will most likely be for the viewers and i was NOT talking about youtubers hacking in single player i was talking about hacking by yourself without anyone watching you, it won't be fun or maybe just a little bit
Saying someone is hacking when you have evidence is okay, but if it's a false accusation and/or you're using hacks then it will harm your reputation as a player. Therefore, "hacks" being a taboo is subjective depending on how it's used. For the hacking thing, I feel that using the word 'hacks' is taboo, but I totally support Cubecraft developers making interesting and fun new games with fun features like the ones you describe.
