Ok time to introduce a new eggwars mode. This is loosely based off Fart's suggestion at the start.

Like my Inflation Mode suggestion, this involves the game changing as it goes on throughout. Basically, teams increasingly shrink.

Beginning of the game: This starts as a massive two team battle, ranging anywhere from 8 v 8 to 40 v 40 at the start. (Normal Mode Prices + Items, No Voting Options). The two team battle starts out like a normal eggwars game, with one exception - three layers of concrete as default egg protection. Mid will be absolutely loaded and massive as well to prevent grand scale mid camping. I'm talking perhaps 15 diamond gens and 4 emerald gens for the 40 v 40. However, don't expect it to last long...

Beginning-Middle: Hold on! At the 6 minute mark, everything gets cut in half. Meaning the 40 v 40 now becomes a 20 v 20 v 20 v 20, etc.

How the cut works: The cut will begin with a crack starting to form in the middle of the island. Each team inherits the same generator levels (averaged between the level of the current gens they have and applied appropriately) and a villager. Egg protection is applied by copying everything in a 7 x 7 square centered on the egg (so overdoing egg protection early won't do you any good) Once the crack cuts all the way through the island, the two segments will begin to drift away from where the island once stood. Once the two islands are 10 blocks apart, the teams are formerly split into two unique teams. The islands drift in a circle centered on mid and will drift until a quarter of the circle is left between that and the island split next to it. Once the drift is complete, another 6 minute timer starts for the next split. A total of 3 splits occur.

Middle: After the first split, mid also splits itself forming sub-mids to complement the new island positions. Using 40 v 40 as a baseline, what was 15 and 4 will now become 7 and 2 at the main mid with 4 and 1 at the submids.

Middle-End: The player islands split again now being a 10 v 10 v 10 v 10 v 10 v 10 v 10 v 10. More submids form with 2 diamond gens and 1 emerald gen, while at the current submids 2 diamond gens are cut off to form new sub-mids.

End: The player islands undergo a final split with there now being 16 islands of 5 (although as you'll see in a second this will never happen). The sub mids do one final split with only gold gens on them.

But What If An Egg Is Eliminated on an Island Before a Split? Good Question. The split island getting an egg is dependent on if the parent island had one - if it did the new island gets one if it didn't. Player splitting occurs the same way. Say for example it's a 12 v 12 v 12 v 12 (a parent to a 3 v 3 ending) and one team lost their egg and was depleted to 7 people. The team will still split normally, but will have an island with 3 people and an island with 4 people, both without an egg. A team of 3 will not be split (unless it's a 2 v 2 or solo map), but their original island will stay with the same generator depletion that normally occurs. So basically, the team of 3 will play at a disadvantage due to isolation and a much bigger island.

Can You Win Before the Final Split? Yes. If your team can eliminate everyone else before the teams get split, you will win with full winning credit.

And now for feedback time......

Hmmmmm. Let me first start off with saying that at first read i didn't fully understand everything just yet (it was a relatively quick read through, so partly also my fault), so i've given it another read just now.

While the concept sounds pretty creative with the drifting islands and stuff, i'm not sure yet if i like the main premise that is teams seperating mid-game. I unfortunately don't think i have anything that i can reference to (as in: ive played something similair to this) while thinking about this and therefore can only go off speculation of how i would feel during a split or how this would affect gameplay. Right now i'm trying to think of what positives this team shrinking could offer beside the process of it being pretty cool i guess with the islands drifting away and stuff; i'm personally having some mild troubles with this tbh.

Also you mentioned that this is loosely based of my concept. Does this mean that once a team seperates it still remains allied with the team it was initially connected to? You said that after a 10 block gap that it would 'formely be a seperate team', but seeing how you also appearantly loosely used my concept i'm not sure what to conclude from this, since my concept is all about alliances, which makes me assume that you'll likely do something with alliances aswell in this. So what am i supposed to conclude from this exactly, since i'm not able to see where you loosely used my concept elsewhere.

three layers of concrete as default egg protection.
What's the reasoning for this?

Mid will be absolutely loaded and massive as well to prevent grand scale mid camping.
Won't this actually encourage mid camping..? Or do you mean that it's hard to fully utilize all mid's resources due to it's massive size?

(so overdoing egg protection early won't do you any good)
I mean...7 by 7 sounds pretty big to me but ok.

The islands drift in a circle centered on mid and will drift until a quarter of the circle is left between that and the island split next to it.
I get what you meant with this, but it still seems a bit vague and slightly unclear to me, just a nitpick though.

More submids form with 2 diamond gens and 1 emerald gen, while at the current submids 2 diamond gens are cut off to form new sub-mids.
This bit seems kinda vague and unclear to me.

More submids form with 2 diamond gens and 1 emerald gen

How can there still be 1 emerald gen when this submid split from a submid with already just 4 diamond gens and 1 emerald gen. 1/2 = 0,5. Sooo..

You say more submids form while later stating that the current submids also undergo changes in regards with it's diamond gens. What am i supposed to believe or conclude from this? I assume that you mean that with form you mean that the already existing submid with the 4 dia gens and 1 emeralds gens splits (which like i stated above wouldnt work with the given amount of emerald gens), but then you also say that the current submids 2 diamond gens are cut off, sooo, does that mean that after the 4 dia 1 emerald submid splits and makes a submid with 2 dia gens and 1 emerald gens is then afterwards supposed to split again? Splitting the 2 dia 1 emerald gen submid into a 2 dia gen submid and 1 emerald submid? Or do you mean with form that new submids arise out of nowhere? It's pretty unclear to me and while i can play this guessing game and assume the thing that would sound most logical in regards to what you meant, i don't like doing it.

The cut will begin with a crack starting to form in the middle of the island
'The island'? Do you mean that the game starts out as one big massive continent with both teams on it somewhere, assumingly on each side, or do you mean that this happens at the 2 big islands. I know what you meant due to what seems most logical (you stated before that it will just be like how a regular Eggwars game starts out, so i also assume we're talking about islands in that case, but be aware that it's stated somewhat unclear and open for misinterpretation.

if it did the new island gets one if it didn't.
Should probably add something to this at the end there haha, but i got the message though.

but will have an island with 3 people and an island with 4 people
Low-key unfair.

A team of 3 will not be split (unless it's a 2 v 2 or solo map)
Should probably explain why this is and why it makes sense.

So basically, the team of 3 will play at a disadvantage due to isolation and a much bigger island.
Not really following you with this. I once again have a vague feeling but that's really it. Should als be clarified a bit better imo.

Make sure there isn't so much left for assumption, it can easily lead (especially with people that aren't the brightest) to either misinterpretation or to people simply not understanding

The conclusion i can take from this so far is that isn't a bad suggestion, but also not a very great one imo, it's decent/good/pretty alright, but that's kinda it for me. Maybe you can change my opinion on it though.

I really like the concept, but they only thing I am not a fan of, is the team splitting. Maybe instead of splitting the teams into legit different teams, they would only split, and their bew islands would be their respawn.
I am having a hard time thinking of an alternative, but I like the rest of the concept of the mode.

I was walking down the street tonight, NO COSTUME, just me, my green sweater, and my brown dog. And someone gasps and says "Yooo it's Shaggy and Scooby Doo!" wild.
We used rainbow jelly… turns out it works on players too. 🌈
