Java I am tired of cheaters.

I didn't think I was gonna do this post, but I am simply tired.
1.8 Sentinel is simply incredibly slow, I don't know if it works on ban waves, or if you have to get to a really high threshold, but it got to a point where I'm just gonna quit the server.

Every, single, game, it's just every single game I find a cheater who doesn't just hitbox a little or uses really low killaura, no no no, he starts FLYING and using TOWER, SCAFFOLD and REALLY blatant cheats.

I reported a player in Discord (and didn't get a response) that was playing for almost all day, (I saw him a couple of times in various games) using fly, tower, etc... at the next morning I went to the appeal page to check if he was banned, and NO, the player that cheated like for 3 to 5 hours, didn't get caught either by staff or sentinel...


PD: I'm not saying the staff is bad, it's actually fast and polite when they answer you buts it's not enough.
Please make it faster, please, this is horrible. (I mean, even buying Verus or Kauri I don't know but DO something)

But developers are working on it everyday.. Hopefully..

Agreed, I was just playing for 5 minutes and already have seen 7 hackers..

Unfortunately, there isn't enought staff to take care of every problem at once. But i can agree that it is annoying sometimes.

Yeh, def Sentinel can be improved but if you act like this it looks like wow they atent improving sentinel at all. If you know it better do it

You already complained aboyt sentinel, so basically you’re complaining about staff in this section. Apply ;)

I know I can be helpful but 90% of the times you get rejected so what's the point...
And I repeat, I'm not saying that staff is bad.

Yes, but a network this big has to have a good anticheat, they hire only the good stuff (which is good) but there isn't enough "good stuff" so they need an anticheat, and Sentinel is not a good one.

Honestly, they say that, players say that... But I've personally didn't see an improvement (in 1.8).

Well, I've been on the forums for almost 3 years now, and all we can do is wait. We can't do much else. They're not going to improve it any faster then they currently are.

I mean, a Minecraft server is meant to be fun. You go there to have fun and maybe play with friends, and this got to a point where I just have to report a player every single game. If it's not my job (either because I don't want to or bc I was rejected) I don't want to do it.

The one time that I decided to use 1.8, Got matched to a scriptkiddy (Hackers is a bit overboard with what they actually do so...) 9 out of the 10 times I played, and the 1 time that I didn't get matched with a scriptkiddy is when I was matched with a friend...

Firstly, you shouldn't be expecting a response from reporting people on discord. Don't complain about not getting one. Staff sometimes go there to ban hackers out of their own goodwill and not because they're supposed to.

Secondly, there's nothing they can do to just get more staff members and get a better anti-cheat. They try their best but it's just lots of hard work to improve the anti-cheat and hoping that good people apply. Just saying things like "get more staff", "improve the anticheat" and "ban more hackers" wont change anything.

Actually, the report page is a very slow way on reporting cheaters, Discord is much faster.

Just saying things like "get more staff", "improve the anticheat" and "ban more hackers" wont change anything.

It will, if you make mistakes and no one tells you, you will keep doing the same mistake over and over.

That's not the point I'm making. What I'm saying is that you can't complain about staff not banning people instantly when you report them on discord because you aren't supposed to report people on discord. Regardless of whatever you think, the reports website is where you should be reporting people.

Unfortunately it's true. No matter how much they want more good staff members, they aren't just going to appear out of thin air. No matter how much they want to improve their anti-cheat it takes time and effort, which they are putting in.

No, don't get me wrong, I agree with you in the staff part, not the anticheat part. Verus or Kauri are 2 good anticheat solutions and right now, they are faster than Sentinel.

Other anti-cheats have far less people using them, meaning people aren't trying to bypass them nearly as much. It would also make the anti-cheat dev unable to improve it and they would be relying completely on the other anti-cheat dev to stop bypasses. We would have no control and wouldn't be able to make any improvements to the anti-cheat ourselves.
