I don't see the problem with longer fights at all. Who cares? What difference does it make? In a game that takes half an hour, I only PvP for about eight minutes of the game. In an hour-long game, it's more like twenty minutes. PvP time increases proportionally as the game goes on. My point is, if you don't enjoy long fights, don't play eggwars. I, for one, enjoy longer games. I love the rare two-hour long game (As long as you don't camp it will end fast, and I love fighting campers.). Anyways, can someone explain to me? What's wrong with a fight that's two minutes long? Healing items are meant to make fights longer. Increasing the price will only make people camp on their islands to get the same amounts of gapples.
Gapples are only a problem on OP. On normal, they're fine. I don't care about statistics and what should happen, I care about experience and what does happen. From my experience, there is no issue. On OP, yes they make fights a little longer, but it's not a big issue. I've never had a single encounter that lasted longer than five minutes tops.
So yeah. What's the issue? Why are long fights a problem? When you play eggwars, you need to be ready for a long game. If you want shorter games and fights, play speed eggwars. Some of us like longer fights.
