Time to put my own take on the table again;

I have no qualms about players reporting another player on the discord server, but I highly prefer players making actual reports on the report site. Here's why:

There are probably some points I've missed out on, but I think these cover most of what I think. If it isn't obvious enough, the report site is better for us staff members, while discord is better for the average player. However, that being said, I don't mind if players are allowed to continue reporting in #staff-help (or another channel, as this is a suggestion about that). It's definitely a system that's easier to use than the report site. But at the same time, I think players shouldn't put too much expectations on doing so (spectating and banning), especially since we're not able to come online all the time. This point, is nicely wrapped up by @Azalea Blödhgarm.

I understand it's not necessarily the job of a player on the server to take the time out of their day to make a report; after all they're not staff members. But if you truly want to help out the community/having a cleaner game, it doesn't hurt to report on the site. Yes, it'll be harder for some, but it's not impossible for you to do so.

Also comic sans is a good font. Change my mind.

I recently started using the report site because a staff member told me it is nicer for them and it gives me a 100% certainty that my report will be looked in too. Before that I sometimes used the discord channel but most of the time I just pm a mod to check a name.

Just like you said and yea it does take time but if you really want to help the server and make the lives of the staff members easier it is the best thing to do.

Sometimes when I reported someone they are banned by Sentinel or a mod that came online because a player said the name in discord.
This can maybe be frustrating for the player that put some effort in recording and uploading the video on YouTube. Because they get a closed answer to their report.

My opinion about that is it doesn’t matter because the most important thing about reporting is that the hacker is banned, if it is from your report or someone else, the outcome is the same. I can understand that if people want to get the 100 reports for the helper application that they want it as fast as possible, but if you really care about the community you could wait a little bit longer.

Because some players only report it on the site for that reason, plus Scream also mentioned it as a pro for players if they record and upload it.
By doing this you could have the chance to become a helper.

To become a helper you have to get 100 successful reports on the site otherwise you can’t become a staff member, so yea the reporting on the website has something to do with the helper application.

And I said it in my first post because I want to encourage other players that just want to get a 100 reports for that 1 reason.

Oh wow I totally didn’t know that and I totally don’t have 240 accepted. I just don’t see the link between helper applications and this suggestion

I just wanted to mention it in my post that’s all, there isn’t always a 100% a link between everything in a thread.

Okey I am happy for you about the 240 reports, you did a great job.
