Is it against the rules to pick up a hacker's gear?

Say if you were playing in Assassins and a hacker drops all their gear because they die/get killed; is it against the rules for players to pick up the gear? What if it is all items that are available in the game? Or would that be considered cheating as well?

My opinion if you kill a hacker or have been involved in helping kill one, you deserve the gear xD you worked for it and you earned it.
