Item limit

Hi, could a helper / moderator inform me about what the item limit is exactly and how it works?

One time the item limit showed when I broke 5 chests, the other time when I broke 3.
I thought maybe the server checks whether some limit has been reached on a certain interval like once every minute. That could explain it I thought.

I've struggled pinpointing the exact number of items. It would be nice if someone could tell me what it is / how it works (:

Were all the chests full in the 3 chests, while in the 5 it was not. You could have accidentally picked up more items or something. I don't know the number that would need to be answered by a staff member.

All the chests were full and I didn't pick up any of the items.

I tested It and could drop about 2 double chest and 36 slots of the third double chest on the ground until the warning popped up.
1 Double chest = 54 slots
2 Double chest * 54 = 108 slots
108 slots + 36 slots of the third double chest = 144 slots
144 slots all got 64 Item's = 9.216
but I have got some farm's running in the background so about 9.3K items.

Hey! I've done some more testing today. And I also seemed to get to 144 stacks of items.
This is exactly 4 inventories of items so it seems plausible
(or 5 chests + 9 slots)
I conducted the test in an area away from anything else so there wouldn't be any other ground items.

Thanks for the help. If a mod or helper could still verify this that would be nice :)
