Hey quartz, thanks for the suggestion.
The main issue with this suggestion is as stated by xAmazinq, on Bedrock we estimate that barely any players would have this option ticked in the settings menu. You are very likely to be alone for an extensive period of time, especially when your region is already off-peak so there are already fewer people on.
We estimate that your queue times with such a setting would exceed 7 minutes at least, it's likely to be higher.
There could be a system that informs you after a certain amount of time that there is another queue in another region and by clicking that chat message you would get sent to the faster queue.
Gonna post an example tomorrow
In response to this, most players on Bedrock cannot click so it'd be an intrusive menu that pops up pretty much every game for them, it's also fairly complex for the much younger player base who just want to play the game, they just want the menu to leave them alone. If they are voting, kit changing or loot changing then this menu would be very interruptive.
You also said "after a certain amount of time" logically if they are in another regions queue then it's the fastest, in most popular games this is around 20-30 seconds of wait time which I would argue isn't long enough for us to ask them to swap region.
This feels like a shoddy solution to a big problem.
The only way this would work is if we removed the automatic system entirely and had all players choose their own region manually, which we will not be doing.
We're veering on denial for this suggestion, however I will keep it unlocked to hear further discussion on the matter.
