I still don't understand what you are trying to implement here but what you described above is the exact same thing as an alert.
right so....I still don't understand what you are trying to implement here but what you described above is the exact same thing as an alert.
I AgreeEh I don't think this is really necessary, everyone that has contributed to the thread already gets notifications everytime someone posts a new thing on the thread, that includes links. Implementing this isn't really a necessary thing & doesn't do much.
If there was some random guy who posted on there that posted only once he would get alerted to the thread and just ask "why did i get alerted here" or something like thatright so....
I give a link to a thread,
https://www.cubecraftgames.net/forums/Report.a.Player/RandomReport
The people who watch the thread "Random Report" get an alert because a thread that they watch has been shared
It's only for reports and appeals. If they think that then they shouldn't of posted on the report in the first place cause they clearly weren't relevantIf there was some random guy who posted on there that posted only once he would get alerted to the thread and just ask "why did i get alerted here" or something like that
But..... If I posted a link only the people on this thread would get the alert at the mo. Tbh I don't think this is possible anyway @johncoles ?Still don't find this necessary at all, it's basically an un-necessary extra notification doing the exact same thing as an alert.
You can tag the people you believe are relevant to the link or that you want them to see.But..... If I posted a link only the people on this thread would get the alert at the mo. Tbh I don't think this is possible anyway @johncoles ?
As much fun as this sounds it could be used to spam users. There are also changes to the appeals process coming soon.
So the people in the report can give evidence in the appealWhy would the creators of the thread care if their thread's link was posted in another thread?
This just seems like an invaluable use of the developers' time. Especially with the new EULA in place, they have a ton on their plate. This just seems unnecessary.
Yes, but you're still pushing for it post-EULA.This was posted before the EULA changes were made public on CCG
Yes, but you're still pushing for it post-EULA.
Ok then, gg, lock?
