I may present false information.
These are my opinions.


/Spectate [Player]

Lets you spectate a duel.
- You're in Gamemode-3 / Spectator-Mode.
- you have the option to give both players the Glowing effect.
- Players can toggle the visibility of Spectator-Chat in the settings-chest in the lobby.

Ranked duels.

- Based off ELO ratings.
- This is separate than other gamemodes.
- The higher your ELO, the rewards and penalties differ.
- Winning against someone with a substantially higher rating than you, tremendously increases the reward.
- Winning against someone with way less rating than you, gives you a percent of your usual reward.

/Duel [Player]

- Requests a duel.
- You can set it as a 'Best out of [X]'
- Regardless of all, as long as the two players are in a PvP lobby, the message will be sent.

- You can set it as a "Warming Match"
(Statistics, XP & Coins will not be added)

2v2's, 3v3's, 4v4's, 5v5's, ...

- Team fights.
- Rewards vary, depending on the situation.
- Based on ELO.

ELO system.


- You lose and gain rating by victory or defeat.
- The higher your ELO, the rewards double. But so does the penalty for losing.
- Please add a leader-board for Highest ELO.

Remove chat-filter.

- Please add an ability to toggle the chat-filter, inside the PvP lobby & matches.


Add more maps.


- Please use barrier blocks, to avoid getting players into water.
- You are allowed to make a lot of maps based off the same theme.
- You are allowed to be original.

- You are allowed to experiment.
- You are allowed to use armour-stands. (Both animated and static)

- You are allowed to summon mobs, to beautify your build.

- You are allowed to animate your build.

If you the main-theme is 'caves' - then you can maybe add a rail-road, or something like that. With a minecart.

Ranked players can vote for time and weather.

- Rain, Snow | Day / Sunset / Night
Not including Plus.

Sidebar will display actually important information.

- Name of the map.
- The amount of total times you've killed [Opponent]
- Times you've lost to [Opponent]
- And the ability to disable the sidebar entirely.

Auto-Play.

More achievements.

- Kit specific.
- Gamemode specific.
- Reach [X] [Statistic]


Tournament per [Decided by the community]

Duels' leader-board will be based on wins.

Duels LB will display top 10.

Daily Challenges.

Some stuff that I have been thinking about:


- Win 100 times within 3 hours.
- Kill 10 ranked players.
- Win with 10 hearts.

- Win 10 times in a row, against the same person.
- Win against a player with a higher level than you.
- Get 100% bow-accuracy 10 times in a row.

- Win without getting hit.
- Win 10 times in a row without eating.

Inventory-Configurations for specific kits.

This is basically to allow you to edit how you want your inventory to be, when you play a certain kit.

More stats.


- Kill-Death ratio. (K/D-R)
- Times armour has been broken by an opponent.
- Times you've broke armour to an opponent.
- Times "Lost"
- Bow accuaracy.


Players with over 256ms will be kicked.

THIS IS A PERSONAL OPINION
When plugins finally update and work with 1.13, please remove access for other 1.9+ clients.

Please JUST be a 1.13+ server.
There are a lot of features that don't work, because of versions messing with each other.

Bugs that exist:

Lava and water buckets, and source-blocks being weird.
Sometimes you will see a lava-block that doesn't actually exist.
But when you are inside of it, you are still slowed, and cannot jump.
It is also very frustrating because you might place a lava-block, but it will create 2 source-blocks. One of them is fake.
And until they get an update, you cannot tell which is which.




Players sometimes have an unfair saturation-regeneration advantage.
Specifically, kits such as:

Tank: The loser has 5 saturation points. While the loser has 0.
Iron-Warrior: The winner has 12.8 saturation points. While the loser has 5.
Rabbit: The winner has 14.4 saturation points. While the loser has 5.

How to fix it:
Give both players 5 saturation upon teleportation.
Effect them both the saturation-effect while in the countdown.

Sometimes TAB will show more than 2 players.

An entire year specifically dedicated solely: to Duels.
I have been the top killer for over an entire year.

trust me pls, i'm a pvP legend.

Well I don't really like this idea , everyone can just stalk a big youtuber or a staff member and in my thoughts that's not really something that I wanna have.

I think that the builders are already doing their best to create some new cool maps.

I would like to see some new achievements for every game and not only for PVP. But I can tell you that we already have a lot of achievements for every game.

The standards for maps in Duels are very low, so I doubt that the builders will have to work on the same map for more than a day, or have a hard time.
The main attraction - except for your opponent - is flat ground, and scenery. That's literally it.

CHAT FILTER

That is something that happened to me personally, and to a few friends of mine, and that is why I have this belief.

I think it's personal preference.
To get the best of both worlds, I think some players can just disable the chat filter.
If the opponent still uses the filter, then they will just not see the swearing. Or maybe it'll be a bunch of asterisks.

SPECTATING

I think the experience of spectating is just straight up good.
It's just.. fun.

Obviously some people will stalk other people.
But what's so bad about that?
Like.. they can't commentate or anything.
They won't have access to chat.
Only if they use /fmsg to their friend, or if they are vocally talking to them in a voice-chat, they seriously don't have any impact.


The main pros are that players can deem suspicious players illegitimate.
It can possibly create extra false reports, but I don't think the moderators will have an actual problem.
I doubt that there will be too many.

Again, this is can be rendered as personal preferences.
I think the pros overcome the cons.


RANKED DUELS

So let's pretend ELO systems are implemented.
The scenario is that players start with 1,000 ELO, pretty much.
For the first few matches, let's exaggerate a little bit, and say that only players with 2,000 ELO can enter ranked duels.
The concept is that you will play with players with a similar skill-gap.

This is very useful for players who hate to fight 1.9 spammers.
Or if they just straight up like fighting against a decent person.

I don't see any cons to this. Seriously.
I mean sure, it might be way more difficult, but there's always the option of playing non-ranked.
Therefore, you always get the best of both worlds.

The idea of a person gaining more coins & XP per win, unlike another, is to reward veterans, that play a lot, and well.
I think that it is fair, because you can go up the "skill-chart" to gain access to a higher difficulty, thus gaining the buffs.
I thought of a penalty, like.. the percentage of getting a cubelet is lower.
But honestly mate, it just seems cool, the concept of fighting decent players.

AUTO: PLAY | DENY & ACCEPT

I think it will just be convenient for players to automatically deny rematches, because there are people like me, that request rematches.
Over, and over.
And people won't accept it. And it is a tiny bit irritating, when it takes a player 5-6 seconds to accept, or deny the match.
Because I really hate the enormous lag I get, whenever I load the ...

... What's the terminology?
That middle-place. With the armour-stands. I don't know, man. :(

Basically, it's for tryhards to have a comfortable life.

I think he's talking about ranked games and unranked games, like badlion, sorry for mentioning this server. but I think it'd be a good idea

I kinda like this idea but again this can cause a stalky situation. So it wouldn't really work out.

Almost everyone will disable it because they doesn't wanna get bothered while playing an other game.

What is the point of rules then when players have the ability to trash talk about their opponents?

I think it's personal preference.

I would also love to say stuff without the filter checking everything but there're a lot of poeple who're salty and ruin this for us by swearing or disrespecting people. So it is still a big NO for me because I don't wanna see anyone who got emotionally touched by someones words.

Everything else seems fine, but ranked and elo system, I don't think so. I don't really like the idea of Cube being more competitive.

I would like something like this. I think it would create more competitiveness and add an interesting feature in duels. It would make it more fun and encourage people to be better. Good feature idea imo.

/duel Would be good to have and of course, having more than one person in a duel with 2v2s etc will be a very exciting type of duels and should be good fun. Definitely good features.

YES. PLEASE. Or make it a perk for people with higher ELO. More competitive people who take duels seriously should be allowed to rage when they lose, as they will be taking a huge hit on their ELO rating.

Definitely. Sidebar should display important information rather than the unnecessary stuff. What you've included in it is pretty good, the ELO level of the opponent as well could be cool to be displayed.

Possible scenarios:

1) Victory.

You win by killing your opponent.
Or if they left the game.

2) Defeat.

This is where 'Times lost' comes in handy.
The situation, is that you basically lost the game, but before you die: you leave.
You don't get an addition to 'Deaths' - you get an addition, to 'Losses'
Hopefully you get what I mean.

3) Death.

This is basically losing. You died.

4) Leaving a match.

This is a very specific scenario.
Either your opponent reached a certain place, that you cannot attack, and that is why you left the game.
You possibly could have won the fight, but you gave up, because you were unsure - and it is justified.
These aren't features I'm particularly interested in. I don't mind them being added but it won't affect me if it isn't.

I am the 1st top killer, with 41,000+ kills.
