Make Bow-Spamming a Bannable Offense

It's a nuisance. It's a type of exploit. It's annoying. It's cost many players many games of Egg Wars. What it's NOT? A bannable offense.

It's called bow spamming.

Bow spamming is when a person (who has little respect for sportsmanship) quickly, repeatedly presses the right mouse button while holding a bow. This sends an onslaught of arrows that NOBODY can avoid. This makes winning a game virtually impossible. Usually, a bow spammer is a low-level new player who doesn't know that 1.9 PVP utilizes timed attacks, and therefore they feel they have no other way of doing damage. The only known way to stop a bow spammer is by knocking them off of the island into the Void, while praying that their egg is broken. This usually fails miserably, as the arrow onslaught sent by a bow spammer knocks you over instead.

You thought a shield could stop them? Heck, shields break. They don't last forever. Usually a bow spammer has at least five stacks of arrows (or so it seems, because they NEVER go back to their base to buy more).

This is a nuisance which prevents people from having the slightest chance of winning. Please consider making bow spamming against the rules. On behalf of the entire CubeCraft community (or at least those of us who try winning fairly), I ask this in the most sincere manner.

True, I think it makes for some good PvP, plus it would be hard to tell the difference between regular shots and spamming. People would disagree with their ban and say they weren't spamming...

To add on, what if I am messing around with a few friends and I am bow spamming them as a joke and someone records me..? Would I get banned?

Adding on too... Probably, its like messing around with friends and flying... you would still get banned.

ok first of all i just read this and laughed fr a good 5 min xDDD... and i agree with you totally xD but maybe "bannable" is a little over the edge, maybe there is another way of taking this on like maybe a cooldown for bows? idk let's see what other people think.

Bow spamming is a 'strategy' that works for players in some cases when they want to keep the enemy away, I see no reason to make this something to punish for , I do get where you're coming from and that bow spammers could be annoying sometimes. But then I would just recommend you to purchase more shields to make sure you got a decent amount of them to win that game. I personally never have to buy more than one shield when I'm in a game of eggwars , another small tip I can give you is to place some blocks behind you to make sure you don't get knocked away when you're close to that player.

Wait how would one even go about reporting this? If I was to bow spam for 5 seconds would I get a ban, or is it that a person needs to bow spam for 30 seconds?
I don't like this since there's a lot of gray area about how much time would make bow spamming bannable.

It would also be very confusing for a staff member to know the difference between a player who's bow spamming and a player that's just normally shooting a bow.

yeah i have too agree with this one as well personally myself i have dealt with bow spammers and i could dodge their arrows by running in a certain pattern like a "Snake" and that was really helpfull without even needing a shield < tip so it kinda is possible to avoid getting a massive load of arrows loaded inside of your skull

Don't think it should be an offence.
Don't forget that they need to aim, when they do, just strafe in circles and hit them, they have to turn and pull the bow back before they can shoot. By the time they do that, you would probably have landed two to three hits and they'll have to get their weapon out.

I guess I can agree for a bow cooldown... Personally, I don't think CubeCraft is at fault, but the people at Mojang are at fault. And because Microsoft owns Minecraft, they aren't going to listen as long as they're making money.

However, could you name bowspamming; camping? Because camping is kickable. But i don't think that it would be bannable, it's just an annoying strategy!

And it's annoying, right? RIGHT? Or should we ban swords entirely? You think THIS should be bannable just because YOU find it annoying and "skill less"? Dude. Bow "spamming" is a legit strategy you know? You actually have some chances against some other kids. Especially with punch 1. Just what mateu said, just go left and right and walk circles around them. It's pretty easy to avoid arrows so I don't see a point of you saying that it's "OMG IMPOSSIBLE" to dodge arrows.
