I think Colony Control should be a year round game. Let me explain, and before I get into this its not just me who thinks this.
I love this server! So much that I choose to play bedrock edition, and I much MUCH prefer Java, and I made an account on here just so I could post this one forum, or "rant"... Me and My cousin have been playing for several years on this server and this last winter colony control was a huge game for us, It was lots of fun, (very little hacking unlike egg wars).
My biggest point I'd like to drive is that there's not much else to do in the normal server... Halloween was a complete let down without Ender, but thats a whole different "rant". Any ways we tend to get pretty bored after awhile, but while colony control is up - we shamelessly play for hours on end. And before people start saying "Its a seasonal game!" The only thing about this game mode that makes it seasonal is the maps. Re-skin the maps and voila its no longer a "winter" or "holiday" themed game.
In the same token, I think the developers of the server can work harder to bring an actual authentic "Holiday" game mode and let the rest of us enjoy colony control. I know there are a few holiday games, I just forget what they are called while I write this and frankly they did not drive much interest for me.
My point is, the only thing about colony control that is holiday themed is the way the map is set up, and frankly when all you're concerned about is defeating your enemies you're not really looking at the scenery... It would be great to see this become a year round game because I'm frankly running out of interest.
I'm stoked to play colony control this Christmas season with my friends but aside form a couple of egg wars games here and there I probably wont be much of an "active player" until the next season. I am keen to hear what others think about this topic as well
