Teaming in minerware can have a big effect on the outcome of a game. When I play, I usually see 5 or so pvp based minigames per game. If people team during these, that is generally 5 less points you could possibly receive, since most likely in a 1v2 in the games you will lose. Video evidence would of course be required and it would have to be very clear of people teaming. For instance, you are getting targeted by 2 people and you record. There are a few possible reasons for them killing you. 1: you are in the lead. 2: they are teaming. 3: it is the boss battle "get the most kills" and they both want the kill because you are low in health.
1: If you are in the lead, it is quite possible that everyone may be targeting you. If you keep winning they wont be able to win.
2: If they are teaming they do not want to kill each other so they both can win.
3: Get the most kills, I can not see any solid evidence coming from this game.
There are more than a few times I've played, where people teaming on boss game are the final people remaining, and instead of fighting it out, will just sit and wait for the timer to tick down. I do not believe you can get solid evidence of teaming during the regular minigames, but the boss game is fairy easy to tell if people are in fact teaming.
I have a couple suggestions to counteract this.
1: Make teaming in boss games against the rules, reportable with video evidence
2: Create team minerware, in which teams of two complete minigames, and 1 point is awarded per minigame if anyone in the team completes that minigame.
