So, we all know that 1.9 has nerfed the sharpness and protection enchantments. This has created some serious issues in money walls. This is my suggestion to rebalance gear in money walls
So let's start with this:
1.8 Damage Values
5 Emeralds- 8 Attack Damage (Sharpness 0) x 2 = 16 DPS
12 Emeralds- 9.25 Attack Damage (Sharp 1) x 2 = 18.5 DPS
32 Emeralds- 10.5 Attack Damage (Sharp 2) x 2 = 21 DPS
1.8 Protection Values
12 Emeralds- 80% Damage Reduced 80 + 4(0) = 80
32 Emeralds- 84% Damage Reduced 80 + 4(1) = 84
80 Emeralds- 88% Damage Reduced 80 + 4(2) = 88
1.9 Damage Values
5 Emeralds- 7 Attack Damage x 1.6 = 11.2 DPS
12 Emeralds- 8 Attack Damage x 1.6 = 12.8 DPS
32- Emeralds- 8.5 Attack Damage x 1.6 = 13.6 DPS
1.9 Protection Values
12 Emeralds- 80% Damage Reduced
32 Emeralds- 81.6% Damage Reduced
80 Emeralds- 83.2% Damage Reduced
So here's my suggestion to fix this. Buff the sharpness enchantment, A LOT.
(5)- Unenchanted ----> Sharpness 4 9.5 x 1.6 = 15.2 DPS
(12) Sharpness 1 ------> Sharpness 7 11 x 1.6 = 17.6 DPS
(32) Sharpness 2 -------> Sharpness 11 13 x 1.6 = 20.8 DPS
And, for protection:
(12) Unenchanted ------> Unenchanted 80 + 1.6(0) = 80
(32) Protection 1 -------> Protection 2 80 + 1.6(2) = 83.2
(80) Protection 2 -------> Protection 5 80 + 1.6(5) = 88
Also, maybe add shields for 20 diamonds?
