So I've been thinking about this suggestion since yesterday and thought it'll be so cool to add it to the server, considering that there are two different colored kill messages in the server (the second colored kill messages being exclusive to FFA), I've thought of the idea of more colored kill messages.
I've made five new colored kill messages based on the patterns CubeCraft uses, and only used the base colors Minecraft had, no new colors that was added later.
So the question is, how will they get implemented to the game, if it was to be added and how would it affect games that have different team colors (EggWars and BedWars)?
To answer the latter question, only the kill message color will change but the player names will stay tied to the team color.
As for the former question, How I would like to see it implemented has to do with the current VIP level system. Here is a table of how I would have to have it implemented:
I put the colored kill messages closer to the level where you unlock a two-colored username, however there are some exceptions. Dark Red and Red doesn't have a two colored username, so I put it at VIP level 10 as it has no content rewards. Cyan and Light Blue is part of the FFA rank but with this suggestion, it'll be available to be used in other games, that's why I placed it at VIP level 4 as buying a rank gives you 750 VIP Experience, making you go from VIP level 1 to VIP level 4, which that level also has no content rewards. FFA players with the rank are at or above VIP level 4, which solves this issue. Dark Blue and Regular Blue is instead placed closer to the Wave username color because of this.
I made sure that each VIP tier (bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond) has one color each, with the exception of Bronze and Diamond. Bronze has 2 because of VIP level 1 being default rank, so having one for players who buys content on the server makes sense here. Diamond has 2 because of VIP level 30 being the max VIP level.
Of course, you're able to select your colored kill messages when you unlock them, so it'll no longer be forced on for example players with FFA rank in that game, so you can stay with default kill colors if you want.
What do you think of the suggestion? Let me know your thoughts below.
