I feel like the number of hackers out number the amount of hackers. So this is just my silly opinion, I feel like you guys should accept more helpers and lower your standards (Like you don't have to be 13 to apply) Well I mean I'm 13 but I realized that a 9 year old could possibly be more mature than a 20 year old. So I feel like Cubecraft should accept people from their maturity, not their age. #2 To higher the expectations, each staff member has to at least do 5 hours on Cubecraft a week. But if the staff member has to do something, the staff member may take some hours off and have to do at least one hour per week on cubecraft and 2 hours on weekends. #3 Teach staff members. I feel like you should accept the mature people, but if they have no staff experience, there should be some people like admins who train the helpers. So if Cubecraft does read this, in my opinion, this server would be better.

I believe that they implemented this to cut down the amount of applications.

That's kind of how they pick them already.

I could see this happening.

1. We don't need mineplex level staff(under 13) to go along with the already bad punishment system(7 day ban for hacking ring a bell?) 2. What do you mean by # of hackers outnumbering hackers?

I don't agree with the younger than 13, but I do agree with everything else. It would help if mods could be on 24/7, so it's taken in shifts.

I just don't get it, I feel like Cubecraft should allow people who are under 13 but are super mature.. Or possibly making the age limit be like 12 idk
I mean, sure, there are responsible and mature children, but I think that most of them would abuse their privileges and ban people that they don't like. Every child has an immature side and a salty side. But more mods would make CubeCraft MUCH better!!

i know, they need more monitors due to hackers almost every game now and aren't doing anything about it. at this point u might have to hack to even win a game, its so lame, i applied to be a helper but no reply cause apparently I'm not good enough to be one, quite annoying honestly

I applied for helper after playing 5 games straight with hackers, I had 0 expierence 2 posts and nobody knew me...I knew I wouldn't get accepted but I was fed up with the situation, I agree that staff need to be on more...this is becoming a MAJOR issue and seeing how the guidelines alone permit about 15 people becoming staff rn, it is hard to have a ton of staff

Just gonna pip pip' my way through here and add a little something.

Lowering the minimum age would just increase the overall amount of applications even further than they already are, there are good amounts of applications just more active community members should totally apply ;).

Players often argue on CubeCraft that there's not enough staff or that there are none, mostly due to them not being able to find them. On large networks such as CubeCraft it's difficult to have a member of staff online in every lobby, but when there is staff we're usually hanging out in hacker hotspots such as the PVP servers. Taking in timezones and actual lives of each staff member, it becomes a picky situation. There are hundreds of lobbies and not hundreds of staff, leading to believe that there are never any staff online. We're here, watching in the shadows and punishing users we come across. The bulk of moderation though comes from user created reports, eventually, the amount of hackers will decrease from the current peak once they've all been banned.

Additionally, you mentioned how there should be a timetable for staff members. This would be great, however unfortunately they each have different lives of their own and are available at different points every day, or sometimes not at all. We each try to do a joint effort on completing pages of reports at a time though, if that counts for anything.

On your third point, helpers that are added already go through a phase before becoming Moderator where they're mentored by Sr. Mods and Admins, however this only happens after they pass the interviews which should tell if a player is ready to become a staff member.

Picking new staff is a long process for Cubecraft! I think its a good idea though 1212hawks

Please notice that there are multiple reasons people under 13 aren't accepted.
Although a 9 year old might be more mature than a 20 year old, this is quite rare. There are many 9 year olds who can't even put together proper sentences, much less have the responsibility of helping run a server. I think the current age limit is completely reasonable.

As I've said in another thread, we are currently accepting helper applications. If you think you are right for staff, feel free to apply!

We are hoping to add 5-10 new moderators to the team in the next few weeks/months :)
