Hey everyone,
I felt like expressing how I feel about what's happened here on CubeCraft recently.
As you all may already know, the CubeCraft staff team have released a brand new update for EggWars. There has been a lot of backlash regarding this topic because of how much of a big change it was, it was really dropped onto the community, a lot of people were pretty much in shock which is understandable because of how sudden it was. In the beginning most people were clearly disappointed and there probably still are a few people out there who still are, I was also pretty disappointed myself, because of how I was so used to playing the older version of EggWars. After listening to what the staff team had to say about the update while they were doing a Q&A in the English 3 channel on the CubeCraft Discord server and discussing it with others as well, I've given it some thought. I've come to the conclusion that this actually isn't that bad, this is really a step in the right direction for CubeCraft. We should be thankful that they took the time to discuss everything with the members of CubeCraft, communication is always important.
To be honest, we should be more appreciative and take their word for it, the Admins should know what they're doing, they're way more experienced at this stuff than the most of us are anyway, obviously there will always have to be communication because not everything always goes as planned. You can't have a game without updating it and expect it to last long, games need to change in order for everyone to enjoy them. A lot of the changes made for EggWars were even good changes and have made game play so much better in my opinion, like the full set armor and shift-clicking of items instead of clicking every time, it saves players a lot of time and effort. What I love about CubeCraft's EggWars is that it is unique in it's own way, like most of their games, you really have to get creative and experiment while playing, a lot of players have learnt how to speed build and have come up with their own strategies, that's why I personally thought the auto-bridgers were a bit much. The staff team have even reached out and been very reasonable and understanding about the whole situation, asking the community how they could do better and have even removed auto-bridgers, which I personally think is really good. I'm really just glad to see that they're listening to what we, as members, have to say about certain things.
I think we should all be looking at the positive and at least try and get used to the new EggWars and be more open minded about things from now on, we should be excited for CubeCraft as it's come a long way and I'm sure there will be many better things to come.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk,
Meiske
