New Commands for CubeCraft.

Hello cubecrafters, today I will post a suggestion for the Server.

Command: /report // This command should alert moderators or helpers to come in the game of the guy which got reported, if it's a fake report: Warning, and probably disallowing them to use it.

Command: /clientview // This command should only be for Helper, Mod and more staff except for builder, to say /clientview Name. They can see their clients/cheat of the guy that got reported.

Important Command /modlist // This command has the use of show all the Staff online at this moment to use the /report command being smart.

¿Why did I make this post?

Well, those commands would be nice to have a better server without hackers, and better moderators can be better than before.

Command: /report
This command was already in CubeCraft (that I think, I'm not sure), and it was deleted because if someone used it, the staff could not know for sure if it was a hacker or was breaking the rules, in fact, all users could report to innocent users.

Command: /clientview
I have nothing against this command, but I doubt that with a single command, a staff can see if someone is really using or not hacks.

Important Command /modlist

Sincerely, I do not see any usefulness to this command, since we can report people posting them and sending them to the forum, without the need of any staff to review (likewise, I think this would not be possible, because we do not have infinite staffs). And if you have any questions, you can ask another user, or just go to the forum and ask a staff member on their profile or starting a conversation with them.

EDIT: If this command will be included, I think it would be better /staff, instead of /modlist

Jespunny, the report command I told in this post it's in case they didn't get time to get the proof so staff can watch him. Also this can prove if sentinel is bad or good but.. Thanks for your comment

Yes, its a nice command.
But there are lots of players that they just started Minecraft, so (Sorry) they dont really know how to PVP. So if someone attacks this people with 1.9pvp they will think that are hackers, and they will use /report. That will cause a false report.
The command is nice, but it wouldnt work.

I don't agree with any of your commands because:
  • /report would cause a lot of false reports.
  • /clientview would be illegal because you have to take a look in the %appdata% folder.
  • /modlist would cause a lot of stalkers.
I don't agree, sorry. (I voted no)

deep inside my mind...
I'm against all 3 commands that have been suggested.

The /report command was around a long while ago, but was removed because players used it more to spam staff, than to report a cheater.

I don't think there's a way for anyone to get client data with a command like that.

I'm very against anything that reveals staff's locations, that isn't already in something like the friend list. The have the forums and discord for being able to talk to a staff.

Also, @Jespunyyy there's no reason to double post. There is an edit button that can easily be used to add on to previous posts.

I would like to respond to the people who said “you can talk to the staff on the forums”, cubecraft has got MANY more players in game then on the forums, why? Because a lot of people don’t know how to create a forum account or they don’t want to. I understand that some people don’t want that, so it would be nice for these people to do /staff or /modlist to talk with the staff members online.

You also need to understand that people aren't that fast as other people or that 'smart' to record the whole time so I added /report
The command of clientview doesn't exist maybe but that's why developers are here...
Staff command, as Thomas, said people don't want or don't know to create a forum account so it's harder to talk with them, and if you add that command you can talk with them without needing any forum account.

Also, people may think /report is bad, but if you see that hacker and you don't have proof to forums or forums account you can't report them. But here it would alert staff to watch the player with clients or hacks

/report would cause too much fake reports.
/clientview would be illegal because you have to take a look in the %appdata% folder . (Law of privacy)
/modlist would cause too much stalkers, and that's very annoying.

Was a thing in the past, but removed due to abuse & false hackusations.
From what I've heard, a moderator can do like 8 reports by the time it takes them to spectate a hacker/team for enough evidence. Aside from that, it's not even too difficult to report people for most.
For the ones that can't record hackers or teamers, don't worry. The rule breakers will get what's coming to them regardless.

Command: /clientview // This command should only be for Helper, Mod and more staff except for builder, to say /clientview Name. They can see their clients/cheat of the guy that got reported.
Pretty sure that's illegal, considering the server would literally need to see your files, which is all personal info.

Important Command /modlist // This command has the use of show all the Staff online at this moment to use the /report command being smart.
And what if the moderators just want to play and have fun?
Their sole purpose is not to go on cube just to punish people. Nobody would want that role. They have their own freedom of playing the game if they want to.

/report has been around before, it generates way to many false reports. And please, just look at previous threads before posting something. Its just my opinion, you don't have to.
/modlist hackers could use to see if any mods are on, also players could potentially stalk the staff member and target them in the games they play.
/clientview I don't get that much...

Hi there!

I agree with all of these commands. /report is particularly useful to report hackers without evidence. However, this could only be successful if a staff member is online. /modlist is good because you can make sure that staff members are online before /report comes into play. Finally, /clientview would be useful for when staff members are banning hackers - it can show whether they've hacked recently, so the ban severity can increase.

Great idea! I hope it's implemented.

Regards,

MythicalPure

This command was heavily abused when we had it before. I was not staff when it was a thing, but I can guess that the ratio of false reports to actual true reports was quite high as anytime someone died, they would just /report. Having a cool down or a punishment for abusing wouldn’t stop false reports either. We would end up punishing more people for abusing the command then punishing people who are actually ruining the game for others. And as others have pointed out, it takes much more time to watch someone and gather enough for a ban then it would to just handle a report through the report site. There, the evidence is cut down to exactly what we need to see allowing us to quickly go through reports.
Sorr, this command is just not realistically possible and would not function the way you envision it would.
Command: /clientview // This command should only be for Helper, Mod and more staff except for builder, to say /clientview Name. They can see their clients/cheat of the guy that got reported.
Not only would this likely be breaking the law, but it is virtually impossible to create. Now I am not a developer, but I would think this would be one of the first solutions attempted when using an illegal client to cheat on a server became a thing. So, unfortunately, this can’t be a thing.
Important Command /modlist // This command has the use of show all the Staff online at this moment to use the /report command being smart.
I am highly against this. I enjoy playing on CubeCraft immensely, but this command would make my experience, as well as every other staff member’s experience horrible. People would follow us around, constantly be spamming us, and targeting us in games. I get that you want to know when we are online, but sometimes we want to just play games normally and be left alone. :)

Man they don't educate the mods enough around here ever hear of cheat breaker? It's a client side anti cheat which could probably do more than look around the versions folder or mods folder, granted it probably isn't set up for internet connectivity or whatnot, however with modifications to this (or just make a whole new CC version) every CubeCrafters would have to use the client to play on the server, may make the server lose popularity but if it comes down to it ;eye roll; then it may happen, the only question then is legality and spoofers, hacked clients could send the server false packages telling said server that the client is the proper version, legality should probably be fine, some screen shares (on primarily hcf servers) have people looking through their email so if put in the terms and conditions of the server it should be fine, but this is all probably entirely unnecary for cubecraft, it's only really good for closet cheaters anyhow.
