Anyone else hate the new update? The loot is trash even in over powered I really hope this doesn't stay
I don't HATE it, but I got extremely mixed feelings about some of it so far.
Overpowered mode is somehow even more boring than before, because now on top of everyone in the end game having near infinite Health thanks to prot IV and golden apples the game now highly encourages rushing super early before anyone can get any loot which makes most games short and predictable, which is exactly what the last 2 seasons were designed to avoid.
I just hope it's not that extreme for normal mode, otherwise I can't see this update having any good long-term effects on the player count and popularity on the game mode, because FYI there is a reason why its called "OG Eggwars" and why cubecraft went away from it in the first place.
Like sure, the forums may like it, but the average forums user spends more time playing on cubecraft than the average cubecraft player has spent being alive and they make up an extremely small portion of the player base, making most feedback coming from here extremely biased and unreliable in telling what the general trend is (that's what the player count will do in the weeks following the release of the update).
That's not to say there is nothing to like, having a tier between leather and iron is nice (though I do find it to be a bit too expensive), and having power V bows and weakness arrows in the game just tickles my brain right.
And for once I can confidently say cubecraft finally managed to release an update without major game ruining bugs (at least none that I have noticed), which hopefully stays that way if some of the other gamemodes ever receive any updates.
TNT is less annoying now, love that a lot too. And we got "mite master" removed which makes those endgame fights with infinite health at least that small bit more enjoyable.
Lastly, not a complaint about the update itself, but because of the amount of ranked players and sweats who returned to try it I have literally not had the chance to play anything other than OP mode since the update released.
And I refuse to fully make up my mind about the update and rate is as positive or negative up until I get to actually try it out.
