Last time I made a suggestion, my suggestion included "Cosa Nostra". This suggestion is exclusively towards making a 15-year-old+ community. Of course, there is a small percentage of individuals younger than the age of 14 that are considered "smart" - whether that is book smart or street smart. Most of that percentage is book smart - meaning anything outside a book to them is peculiar. I know there will be an argument used of "excluding a group", but life is not about participation, no. Excluding a group is not "cyber-bullying" or what ever the law enforcement agencies call it. Excluding a group will not also lead to people swearing on the forums, as that is a ludicrous idea. I suggest that we make a 15-year-old+ community to: increase the amount of members on here (people will come here when they learn this is 15+; IIFriedII, KnivesOG, BLM_GoonPop, BLM_Robin, Star789, lazymink, MrAlien1921, and gatorsrock99999) and to make this community more towards the development of a complex and, of course, a more enjoyable community.

Note: If you have to reply because you want to leave your mark on everything, please make a reply that stays on topic.

Minecraft's primary demographic is children. So what, you want us to alienate the vast majority of Minecraft's player-base to please a minority? Severewarning was one of the first staff members on this server. He was twelve, yet probably more mature than you are, seeing as you've lied about your age when creating your account.

There can be a forum for 14-year-olds and younger. Why do younger kids always feel locked out if older kids kick them out? It must be human nature.
Perhaps because they're a part of this community, and have been for some time now.

Woah, honey, that was a serious attack on me. I am obviously kidding about my age, but what do you expect out of an individual who needs to leave her mark wherever she goes. Your "demographic" is so broad that it is wrong. I believe, according to law definition, being the age 15 makes you a child, correct? Please, find an argument supported by quantitative evidence instead of an opinionated "factoid". Also, I see you added ageism. Ageism has to do with jobs, not Minecraft, yet again you are throwing things out there. Ageism affects all ages

Please do not ask staff to lock a thread that is not yours, it's annoying.

This idea is crazy. This means we'd have to fire a big part of the staff team as well.
I don't know why this should be implemented, as there are no problems with the younger members...
I will not ask again :)

Hmm... The staff team members who are younger than 15 can stay because it would be too massive of a change. The problems with younger members lie beneath the surface, not where you can see it.

Why you even want it? I have never had problens with people who are younger then 14... And if there comes a 15+ forums, then there will be a lot of people lie about he/she age...

So again, you want to alienate a massive portion of the community because you dislike some immature behaviour? What do you expect from a children's game, on a server that prides itself on being child-friendly?

I believe, according to law definition, being the age 15 makes you a child, correct?
It differs based on your location, but CCG is a UK server. In the UK, you're considered a child until you're 18. Should we alienate anybody under the age of 18, then?

Also, I see you added ageism. Ageism has to do with jobs, not Minecraft, yet again you are throwing things out there.

Right, jobs.

Ageism affects all ages
Yet you're being ageist to younger players, wanting to exclude them in the name of "enjoyment".

Author of the Huffington post article: Ondi Timoner
Is Odni Timoner an expert in the game of Minecraft and making a demographic of an entire population? No. Odni Timoner is the CEO of Interloper Films.

"Reports suggest that the biggest group are kids under the age of 15," (Timoner).
Where are these reports?

I suggested a 15+ forum, which means that through the ages of 15 to 18, there will still be "children" on the forums.

From my attempts at researching the game's demographic, I cannot find any credible sources. The game is unanimously marketed at children nonetheless, and is certainly widely enjoyed by children. So once again, you want to alienate a significant portion of the player-base to satisfy your own distaste for people who are younger than you?

For the record, this is also non-credible. As you yourself have demonstrated, people lie about their ages, especially on forums'. Likewise, there are many, many children who aren't going to sign up to a website, either because they don't know how to, have no interest in doing so, or aren't allowed to. The best thing we have to work from is the fact that Minecraft is marketed at children, and consists of millions of them.

I suggested a 15+ forum, which means that through the ages of 15 to 18, there will still be "children" on the forums.
Yet it excludes younger children. Still ageism. Both Severewarning and Savannah, two former staff members, were twelve and fourteen respectively when they became staff. They remained staff for many years because they were mature and likable.

Please highlight the relevance in each of these links.

Edit: Would you like to take this discussion to a private conversation? It would make your thread more inviting if it wasn't dominated by us arguing :p

1) I agree, there are no credible sources, hence I was wrong putting forward the forum link. The problem with Huffington post is the article states there are "reports" that merely suggest that the largest portion of the MC community is under the age 15.

2) I was wrong for using that link, my mistake.

3) If you looked back, I stated that "there can be a forum for 14-year-olds and younger". This would affect older people and push "ageism" towards them, yet nobody on here seems to be upset over that.

4) Yale study - Research shows that ageism affects mostly the elderly
Cornell study - Research shows that ageism affects mostly the elderly
Stanford study - Research shows that ageism affects mostly the elderly.
