4) Yale study - Research shows that ageism affects mostly the elderly
Cornell study - Research shows that ageism affects mostly the elderly
Stanford study - Research shows that ageism affects mostly the elderly.
That is absolutely true, though does not justify ageism towards somebody else.

3) If you looked back, I stated that "there can be a forum for 14-year-olds and younger". This would affect older people and push "ageism" towards them, yet nobody on here seems to be upset over that.
We don't need to divide the community based on age. Plus, it will put a lot of strain on the staff team to have to moderate two different communities.

The problem with Huffington post is the article states there are "reports" that merely suggest that the largest portion of the MC community is under the age 15.
Yeah, there's no evidence to support their claim either.

You can presume what ever your heart desires, Sophie. It is clear that: ageism affects mainly the elderly, not small children; if the change were to happen, staff would be divided into two groups in order to monitor the forums; and the community of those 15+ will become tighter, while the community of those 14- will become tighter.

But nobody was ever doubting that. My gripe with your thread is that it's ageist towards younger people.

It's a good thing a change like this isn't going to happen then, because a divided and tighter community is the last thing this server needs.

Anyways, this has been a fun little debate but I'm going to stop responding now. Thanks c:

This is just my opinion but I enjoy speaking to younger and older kids, I do not care what their age is. They should all be able to speak to everyone in my opinion. Good luck on your suggestion though and enjoy the rest of your day :)
Agree with Jack it's good to talk to younger and older people sometimes

Agree with Quetzi completely.

Further to his comments, please do not use pet names such as "honey" on the forums. It is offensive, patronising, condescending and could be seen as harassment. I think you should apologise to @Sophie. The sentence you used would have worked perfectly well without the use of a petname.

Woah, honey, that was a serious attack on me.
